For people with kids or without. What are your most loved kid's books? My daughter has now got to the age where she can read just about anything on her own, but when she was younger I read to her every single day of her life. One of her first books was a non-toxic (supposedly?) foam book she could teeth on. It was Gumby's Colors. It featured a removable foam Gumby figure in the front of the book. When I would pop it out of the book while making a popping sound with my mouth she would crack up!

Swimmy by Leo Leonni is a great book for very young kids. It shows how being different can turn out to be a vital strength.

I grew up with these books in the 70's and loved them. The textures of the art made me feel a certain way that I instantly recalled when I read them to my own daughter.

Haven't read that one, but Roald Dahl's more well known titles are great.
