View Full Version : Giuliani says freedom is doing what you're told

Giuliani uttered this memorable quote:

“Freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be
anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the
willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of
discretion about what you do.”

(What a dickhead!)

What a snake. Am I the only one who finds every detail of this man to be infuriatingly annoying? His face, argh! Even though he lies and knows that he's got strings attached to him, he does it all with a smile and that annoying Giuliani Yorker attitude. He's just a fucking good dog. At least the other ones have some respect for themselves.

He thinks he's going to have a place in the NWO. What a sucker. (not that the NWO will realise itself)

What would Giuliani be without his precious 9/11? I think people (even unawakened people) see straight through his crap which is why he is at the bottom of Republican polls right now. It's pretty sad that when Ron Paul speaks the truth all Giuliani and company can do is butt-in with "BUT 9/11!!!". Pathetic.

I've met some young people who agree with fascism and would like to see it implemented.

The thing that always makes me laugh about them is that they seem to think that if they were born into a world of fascism that they would be sitting at the top of the tree enforcing fascist rules. Many of these people come from middle-class societies. That's hardly the kind of family class you would want to be born in if you wanted to be a fascist.

lol. What a horrible statement. Authority is needed, but authority is imo just a bunch of rules and regulations. When I go to a doctor for example, the the doctor is not an authority. The doctor is an expert.

Rules and regulations are needed and helpful because they set limits to what is considered legal in society and they give us a framework for how to behave. But this means that: (a) the laws must be as few as possible, (b) the laws must be easy to understand, (c) the laws should as far as possible be able to stand on their own without having zillions of references to other laws in a messy entanglement (as few references as possible), (d) the laws should adhere to as high ethical standard as possible, (e) the laws should limit all individuals' freedom as little as possible, (f) the laws should invade the privacy of individuals as little as possible, and (g) the laws should give all people as equal opportunities as possible.

Nobody has any authority. Within the duty of one's job, we have the authority to do what the rules allow. This means that a policeman or policewoman for example, has the right to use the authority stated by the rules, but the authority is always in the rules/laws, not in the person doing the job.

Definitely a different dictionary to the one I have. Newspeak at its 'finest'.
