That's very true.
And I'd be suspicious of the story's facts too. They've claimed to have "detected" these subs, but have they? They'd have to be very lucky to do so, especially with modern designs like the Akula. The only time a submarine like that gets detected in open ocean is when it wants to be.

Well we'll have to differ on that.;) Detecting a sub in open ocean is like trying to hunt a particular rabbit by walking along country lanes with a shotgun.
And don't you think it's suspicious that this news story has broken out now? Submarines are contantly deployed into foreign waters, why are they suddenly publicizing it now? It sounds to me like a psy-op. Rather like that Russian bomber that flew over the North Sea.

Scrutineering all aspects of Side Stream Media jackanories is a prerequisite to not being duped.
Dragging up 'cold war' bogeymen is no doubt tied into the Georgia, Abkhazia, Armenia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, NATO Shennigans.

I thought they'd try something like this when they realized that the War on Terror wasn't working as well as they hoped. So they'd dusting off an old idea! :D:p

The only time a submarine like that gets detected in open ocean is when it wants to be.Yes - that would be the point I'm guessing.
Anybody want to say that there isn't at least one 688 class hovering around just to the East of the top end of Norway as we type this.

Funny they can't find a hi-jacked ship....
The Arctic Sea, a Maltese registered, Latvian-owned ship with a 15-strong Russian crew, vanished with its £1m cargo at the end of July on its way from Finland to Algeria.

Exactly. It's all a game. And thus it ever was. It only stopped when the Soviet Union collapsed and the Russian Navy couldn't actually afford to put their boats to sea. Now they can and Putin is playing games again - UK airspace nearly infringed now this and a number of Russian war canoes suddenly available last week west of Portugal.
Akulas don't travel in pairs. They popped up where they did just to say "Oh Hi - were here. Did you hear us coming? No? Oh well never mind - rattled your cage though huh?" Point made.

Yes it's funny how the American government/people made a huge cash injection into the Russian economy, now their playing games again. It's either IMO one of two things. TPTB have orchestrated it on a very subtle level or the Russians have had enough of the PTB games and are showing themselves as a real threat to the NWO.

and Putins playing a nice hand in Pipelineistan as well. Pity not more people have read Rodin's thread on that subject. His main prob is that his source Bro Nathaniel's site is rather off-ptting for some peeps.

Maybe manovouring around and deflecting the sonar, keeping one equiped with nukes hidden. Those sneaky russians :) Bet you, they have something else down there? Although it will be extremely difficult to hide anything from the US, they have eyes in their arse.

Maybe manovouring around and deflecting the sonar, keeping one equiped with nukes hidden. No these are NOT nuclear ballistic missile boats. Those wouldn't go (and don't need to go) anywhere near the continental shelf - let alone over it.
Although it will be extremely difficult to hide anything from the US, they have eyes in their arse. You hope? It is extremely easy the ocean is a vast place and don't think it don't work t'other way round either.
