I watched this episode of "Top Gear" and thought it was quite funny.
Obviously the 'Joke Police' did not agree.

clarkson is a legend, the political correct brigade, need to get over themselves, they are deluded and see themselves as improtant.
i personally like james may, he is my type of personality, a english geek, lol.

IMHO Clarkson is a ME-dia construct that has realised it's best
hope of earning lucre is by producing negative energy .
It wouldnt surprise me to learn that the politically correct drones
who feign righteous indignation at this type of 'joke' are on the payroll
of a shadowy PR/Communications outfit . . . .

last weeks top gear was the first i'd seen in ages, not having any tv reception means i only get to see the tv when i'm at a mates house, lol
i loved the quips, and there were a few of them
When he was talking about people who don't care about driving should not be allowed to have licences, thnat was class, his reasoning that if someone doesn't care about something then they can't possably be any good at it - and then he said that you wouldn't ask Hammond to do the cooking, because he doesn't care about cooking, and likewise you wouldn't ask him (clarkson) to do the washing up, or as james may to direct a porn film - a classic.

Don't you think Clarkson has to put up with a hell of a lot of shit these days... Every week he's in the pillory for being an original.
He's still smiling as far as I can see.
In the show people are frequently quite rude to him and he laughs it off...

TOP GEAR IS FOR MORONS
No, dear gractengordel, it does not matter. Not at all. Not a bit of it matters.
It is clearly obvious to anyone with a half a brain that the show is scripted. The 'morons' (whoever they are) who claim that the show is spontaneous are just playing along. Look at any of the 'challenges' and tell me that they are not absolutely scripted. Clarkson doing 100 + mph on a german autobhan in a veyron and the camera's being in just the right place to catch it, neck and neck finishes, brilliant one line quips, right on queue - they don't expect us to believe that it is spontaneous, that is a part of the gag - i'm sorry that you missed it.
Look up humour in a dictionary sometime and try to keep up.
I'm sure there is some add-libbing goes on in the chat sections, tho i imagine very little.
And i re-iterate, it doesn't matter, because it makes great TV, that is an answer to your Q. It makes great TV, it makes people smile, and it gets people talking, and it gets people watching, and it gets people interested - this is why it doesn't matter whether the thing is scripted or not. And where people are laughing and having a little light hearted fun, you see nothing else matters then. Is that an adequate answer for you?
i bet not.

OK - a fuller explanation for the comedically retarded :p
grachtengordel stated he thinks 'Top Gear is for morons'
Then I, as a fan of Top Gear, posted a pic I found on the internet stating 'I am a moron', as I must be according to gracht because I like Top Gear.
Simple enough for you? :)
:D

IMHO Clarkson is a ME-dia construct that has realised it's best
hope of earning lucre is by producing negative energy .
It wouldnt surprise me to learn that the politically correct drones
who feign righteous indignation at this type of 'joke' are on the payroll
of a shadowy PR/Communications outfit . . . .
Clarkson is owned by some of the people who have stolen my creativity. Every now and then there will be a psychological trigger in the programs. Like a dreadful jacket worn for a bet. If you find the clip of him wearing some smoking jacket thing or other. When he turns to the camera. You can see it in his eyes, that he is thinking 'right now someone at home knows that I am one of them'. The one tank gag was not his idea.

Look, why don't you sit me down and explain this one to me slowly and carefully because I'm not getting a clear picture at all
I'm open minded as long as I can see a certain logic and rationale. There is a chance that this one might just be in your head.
You should apply rigorous testing to a theory like yours. I'm not sure you have. It could just be harmless synchronicity.

Cavalry against panzers
.... bows and arrows against the artillery.
Most pointless and quickest defeat in military history.
oh, you show such great historical knowledge [irony].
Ever heard about No. 303 ("Kościuszko") Polish Fighter Squadron or the Battle of Monte Cassino?
Then the treason of the "allies" followed, while first allies made the Poles fight a lost Battle of Warsaw (in which hundreds of thousands of Warsaw citizens were brutally murdered) and then the treason of Yalta Conference followed.
First learn some history before blindly parroting cliches style:

It was actually the Russians that tricked the Poles into fighting the Battle of Warsaw in August 1944. The Russian army was very nearby and promised to assist the Poles in the uprising.
However, not only was this a blatant lie to the Poles, but Stalin actually DELIBERATELY paused the Russian advance while this battle was going on.
The reason for this was that he did not want the Poles to (be seen) to defeat the Germans, because if this happened, it would have been harder for Stalin to get Poland under his control after the war ended.
Because the Polish uprising failed, Stalin claimed he had "liberated" Poland, and at Yalta in February 1945, the UK ,and (especially) the USA, agreed that Stalin could basically 'have' Poland, which he then did.
