Ok, so I would really like to know what people think about this. Dennis Cooper is a celebrity author who has gotten famous for writing erotica about snuff films. He has a blog that contains escort reviews about barely legal boys. There are often violent themes in the photos he selects, such as hanging, choking, murder, etc. And a lot of those boys do not look 18!:( This month isn't the best example of that, but it is still pretty disturbing.

Well, I know that he is friends with Gus Van Sant, who is well known to be a chickenhawk who picks up underage boys and does speed with them. I have heard about this from boys who work on the street up there, unfortunately. Since Van Sant is someone who posters on the Kurt Cobain thread have identified as a participant in mind control programs, I really wonder if the two of them might have some inroads into elite snuff production. Here is the link for people who are interested:

I am sorry to post something so awful!

Here is a quote from Friday's entry in his blog:
"around the time my book 'Frisk' was published, I would sometimes get people asking me where they could get snuff films or offering to show snuff films to me, and people would think I could help them fulfill all sorts of unusual and/or illegal fantasies, and I got letters from guys offering themselves to me as human sacrifices and things like that....The extreme sex and violence stuff in my books is a combination of having studied that kind of thing with fascination in books or the news or in historical accounts or talking with people who are into doing extreme things."
The thing that repulses me about these photos is the feeeling that someone may be using the "safe, sane and consensual" ethos of the BDSM scene as a cover for truly heinous activities. Peronally, I feel that a lot of the "torture porn" that has been coming out recently should be made illegal for that very reason. I don't like to rain on anyone's parade, but acts of violence hardly qualify as freedom of speech!

Found this in a Salon.com article and thought it might be relevant:
The facts of Cooper are these: He was born in Pasadena, Calif., in 1953, and grew up wealthy as the son of Clifford Cooper, who owned a company that built missiles for NASA. (One of Cooper's memories of adolescence was his parents' having their good friends Dick and Pat Nixon over to the house.)
