Just a random thought that hit me a couple days ago. I am not sure if I am the first to suggest this. In fact, I am likely not, because it is obvious.

4 planes + 4 destroyed targets = ...

My theory is that the 4th plane which did not a target, was actually meant for building 7. Just a few questions to ask:

-What purpose does a 4th plane crashing into a field serve?

-Why did they create such a "plausible" lie about the other buildings, then have building 7 go down with barely a cause?

-Why was building 7 brought down so much later in the day than the rest?

Did they screw up with one plane, then spend a few hours in a panic trying to figure out what to do about the already bomb-filled building 7? Did they decide to just blow it up without a very good story to remove any chance of bombs/evidence being found?

Not that this theory really covers any real ground. I just found it to be an interesting idea.

Good questions. I think the size of WTC7 makes it unlikely as a plane target. Personally I think that either 7 was supposed to come down during one of the twin tower collapses (but failed), or they were just so sure of themselves they didn't care when they demolished it.

The plane in the field story allowed them to create the Hollywood scripted, go-getting, all American, action-hero tale of Flight 93.

Haha, too true about the hollywood story.

I know it is a bit too small to hit with a plane, but they are claiming that these guys managed to hit the pentagon on ground level. Skilled pilots they are.
