ive gotta try to discuss this without ruining the film for you :o

in short,some kids in the 50's make a time capsule in which they put pictures and stuff for people to open 50 years later.
one girl just scrawls numbers in a satanic fashion. (O_o)
50 years later that note is uncovered, and the lead discovers that the numbers are referring to dates and times, amount dead and location in which tragedies have occured, things like 9/11. (and 9/11 was the first to be resolved in the film)
theres three groups of numbers (catastrophies) still to be played out.
the last turns out.. suprise.. to be human extinction, by solar flare.
as the time draws near, the kid who the story centers around starts being contacted by some very pale, tall people(hmmm). and he starts having visions of whats coming.
the rest is in white writing so as not to spoil for anyone who wants to watch :>
these white people turn out to be aliens, from pleiades. and the reason they are having contact with the child is because they have selected a girl and he to be taken to a paradisiacal planet in order to continue humanity. they are the chosen. and the films ends with the children running in a field of wheat, towards a big single tree (ala garden of eden), after showing the father of the boy making peace with his family and hugging eachother as they are obliterated.
i found this film to be absolutely choc full of symbolism. alot of it disturbing.
the end is disturbing, the symbolism, the fact that alot of it is based on truth makes you wonder what the writer knows.
the ending (the first part) REALLY feels like a sickly attempt to make you accept your fate, when the time comes. the numbers/numerology aspect was also very intriguing.
the film has a genuinely dark and demonic feeling to it,
all this, coupled with the fact that every other film at the moment appear to have a similar story line makes me edgy and lessens chances of coincidence.
i guess im just posting to see what other people think. alot of films lately have made me very uneasy.

just the room here makes me feel uneasy. but why should it? i know that certain shapes can conjure certain things. for example "The trapezoid has long been regarded in by occultists as the most satanic of shapes, especially adapted to enhance demonic manifestation. Indeed, the middle order of the Satanic brotherhood is called 'The Order of the Trapezoid'. pyramids without their caps are trapezoids. more often than not you'll find that houses which use roofs which are trapezoids are more likely to be haunted.. this list goes on. anyway, i know this holds water..
