Yeah, but I think there are three levels of technology: (1) public technology, (2) black-op technology, and (3) singularity technology.

It's level 3 I'm interested in. I learned recently that technological development is an accelerating process. This means that already within a few decades even our public technologies will have reached what scientists call a technological singularity, which means that the progress of technological development goes almost infinitely fast.

BUT, there must be some other extraterrestrial civilizations who already have reached a technological singularity. And if so, then maybe it is just waiting for us to start using it!
