Hey Everyone i am just courious if anyone has any idea what i might have experianced one night while falling asleep, this has happened before but not to the same degree that it did just recently
Anyways i was in bed , face up laying flat on my back, eyes closed , my thoughts were extremely relaxed , on the verge between actually sleeping but i was aware of everything in the room, not really thinking about anything, just very very deeply relaxed in a peaceful almost state of being , and all of the sudden i heard a voice/sounds i couldnt even understand what it said cause it didnt actually make a sound was more of well like a reptailian voice mumbling or chanting but i know i heard this it was so real and when i heard it i jumped up , starled , a bit scared, for about 3-5 mins then i finally went to bed, i really dont know what i experianced but i do know it was real, there was nothing at all on in my house the tv was off, everything was off, was very silent that night

You were listening to things taking place in the astral. The astral is where things aren't physical, but are energy. You go there when you dream, but if you're halfway between waking and sleeping, you'll be aware of the astral in your own bedroom and your own home.
If what you heard made you uneasy and seemed out of place and malicious. Buy yourself a sage wand (they cost like 3 dollars) and smudge yourself, and smudge your home. You can learn how to smudge by doing a google search on it. It will help cleanse you and your home. If you had trouble falling back asleep or you ever have an uncomfortable experience again, this should make you feel better.

Thanks for the info i will give it a try , looked up on youtube for some videos about sage smudging
This happened to me too and I even heard what the voice said,
but the thing is, that even though it sounds EVIL doesn't mean it is of that nature.
When we are about to fall asleep, we fall in to a trance state and so automatically we start hearing stuff that we normally don't.
It's like we are tuning ourselves to a new radio-station but sometimes we tune ourselves incorrectly and all voices sound weird.
Smudging the room is a great idea, or just putting a bowl of salt under your bed!
In my case, after I heard the voice I started to go through a lot of spiritual stuff,
so keep an 'eye' on the connection between the voices and other stuff happening in your life.

i have had experiences when on the verge of sleep, not sounds but a presence, the heaviness on the bed and then a comforting hug , i lay on my side when i sleep and this feeling is like someone getting in to the bed and cuddling up at the back of me it is very peaceful and feels safe and almost euphoric , i have had this experience about 6 times now ,
i am aware of the room, even my eyes open when i have looked round to it, it looks like a crystal clear shape but wavy like the heat coming from the road on a hot summer day,
i talked to my sisters about this and they said they had this experience as well ,just the once though , has anyone else felt anything similar?

The other night whilst falling asleep I saw in my minds eye as though a veil or curtain had been pulled back and a section of a face was looking at me, with what I can only describe as a reptillian type eye with a piercing stare. (I am sitting on the fence when it comes to whether reppys are real or not)
I was a bit shocked and put up a protective barrier in my mind - i don't really know how to do that, just tried to seal myself off by visualising a pink energy around me. The face lasted only a few seconds but was quite vivid.
After I had done this I felt really silly, thinking it was just my imagination...but you just never know do you.
:)
While I have experienced things like this in the past, whilst in a hypnogogic state. I often used to wake and see a giant spider on the ceiling, or hear voices, sometimes of people I knew, I could always put them in this category.
The one that I did find extra odd last year when I was fully awake with nothing turned on, no TV or Radio or computer.
I definitley heard voices coming from my radio, but it didn't sound like they were coming from the speaker, they sounded like people talking in the place where the radio is (if that makes any sense), needless to say, this only lasted about 5 seconds, then finished, that was it.
I can't remember what they said, maybe it was builders on their radios and my radio picked it up somehow, but I don't know for sure.

that makes alot of sense , i have heard sound before in the past but the difference this time it was next to my ear i know wierd but i know i heard it , but i didnt understand it , i have a new theory that small things like this might be small steps towards the awakening but who knows i do know that the universe is a very very strange place and i beleve almost anything can happen

Ive had this feeling too.In 1994 when my life was in bits,I was in bed, unable to sleep, something cuddled up behind me as i lay on my side.
Im not sure but i felt afterwards it was my dad who died in 1972.

That reminded me of what Robert Monroe wrote about in the early days of his astral travel experiments, where he got freaked out by an entity that lay behind him in bed, clinging on to him even so he could feel its stubble rubbing on his neck. Until after a while he realised it was his own body, and that he had projected out of his body and could feel his physical body laying behind him sleeping.

One of the strangest experiences I had (more than once in the same room) I felt hands, moving down my arms and legs, a bit like a massage, or some sort of healing. I was staying in a YWMCA which used to be a Convent, and my room was where the altar would have been when it was a convent.
I had quite a few odd things in that place.
The other night whilst falling asleep I saw in my minds eye as though a veil or curtain had been pulled back and a section of a face was looking at me, with what I can only describe as a reptillian type eye with a piercing stare. :)
I also see odd things in my minds eye when about to fall asleep.
Sometimes accompanied by a sound too.
The piercing stare thing: I see this too. Blue eyes, eyes that are looking back at me and so on.
Im not sure exactly what it all is, but it could be different 'parts'/characters of our unconscious being shown to us. Or not. Haha.
Sometimes I see really scary stuff...Like people in pain, hospital beds, monsters.
It really could be our unconscious that is bringing symbolic stuff 'up' for us to see so that we can deal with fears and so on.
But yeah, when this happens I tend to put more energy in to my shield. Just in case.

Does anyone get strange evil faces flash before them when trying to go to sleep. Like they'll keep pulsating in to your mind and disappear.
I just wrote above that I do.

Not really for me no however , i do remember being in a very relaxed state about 1 year ago maybe longer for about 30 mins i just laid down silently in my bed, eyes closed and cleared my mind i was trying to astral project , my thoughts were blank, then a lich like skull appeared in front of me like in my minds eye, and seemed like it laughed at me , its actually scared me cause i didnt expect it at the time , or maybe i did project , then thought of the lich , then it materialized whatever it was freaky i woke up right after that

1. When you go into the astral realms you can hear things, sometimes when you are dozing off you slip in and out of deep sleep/ astral state without realising it.
I dont know if anyone else gets this, but when I'm sleeping I switch into an alternate reality instantly which is so real it makes me 'jump' awake and I find myself back in this one. I sometimes cant get to sleep because when I try to sleep it feels as if my thoughts are actually happening.
2. If you have unshielded speakers in your room, sometimes they pick up radio signals from other countries, mine are notoriously bad for picking up french and german radio waves and it sounds like I am hearing voices or something until I get closer to my speakers.

I started a thread here about the (interdimensional) giant spiders, maybe the same one you have seen:

Also the experience you mentioned about hearing voices from the radio I have heard from my TV when it was off.

One thing I used to get very frequently was the sound of a loud drum. I would be laying in between waking/sleeping and all of a sudden, *bang*. Just a single beat, like a loud thud. I know that this was not an external sound.
I would fall back to the inbetween state again and after a few minutes it would happen again. Just a single thud at any one time.
I have no idea what it was and don't know if there is any astral significance to it. Has anyone else had any sounds like that?

Years ago in a similar state I heard a very loud SHHHHH!!! in my ear. It frightened the PJ's off of me!

Yeah, very weird.
To me though it only really happens if I was scared beforehand, or didn't relax before bed.

Since it's related to this thread:
I was laying in bed, yet not particularly tired. I had enough of that day and wanted to go to sleep.
I stare at my ceiling fan for a minute, in the limited vision I have in darkness, and then suddenly I start feeling the room darkening, the room getting smaller yet bigger (kind of warping the corners out and the walls inward), and I no longer could feel the bed touching my back, or my covers touching my front, I genuinely thought I was levitating or something. Once I realised this odd feeling I let it continue, instead of suddenly reacting and coming into a clear logical mind (I would of most likely got up and turned the light on).
Thing is I have no clue what actually happened, or why! Just thought i'd share it!

You can get in a similar leviating state if you close your eyes and listen to some binal beats. Kinda feels like you're on a bunk bed or something.

Often this used to happen to me, and still does to an extent. What helps me is channeling the power of Total Blackness, thru activation of Melanin thru the Pineal Gland. When I do this, no man or entity can meet my gaze.

I once had an OBE and my portable CD player suddenly played Dark Side of the Moon from Pink Floyd. I started to panic because I was not aware I that my body was still in bed. I wanted to turn it off and tried crawling to the player but could barely move because my astral body was still attached to my physical body. Then I realized I was having an OBE and tried shaking my body to wake up.
Of course, there was no CD in the player.
A strange thing I experience quite often before falling asleep is that I see some kind of letter code falling very fast down my "mental screen" combined with flashing lights before a black background. Then either I fall asleep or start astral projecting. Not doing the latter too often because it ruins my sleep and I am happy to get at least some quality sleep from time to time. I work 12 days in a row and have to get up at five. This is totally fucking me up at the moment because at this time I am often dreaming heavily and when the alarm wakes me up I am messed up for the whole day.

I never had this happen to before but for a few weeks now I experience the same. I find myself in all kinds of weird scenarios or am just observing them. Then I realise I am actually in my bed. It really feels like directly experiencing ones thoughts in physical reality.
