Adam and Eve

Say there was an Adam and Eve, how long would it take from the beginning to get to the number of people on the planet now? Has anyone tried to work this out, i'm sure there must be a mathematical formula for it somewhere and i wouldn't imagine it would take too long for it to happen.

Use the calc on your PC, sart with 2 then double it, keep x2 ing it and you will get to a huge number pretty quick. In fact if they had been born only 300 years ago we could have had the same population as today.
