What really gets my goat is when you point it out to people you get the reply; well if you’re not doing anything wrong you have nothing to worry about.
The last statistics I read was the average person was filmed about 250 times a day here in the UK. As if all the cameras weren’t bad enough now they want to put bloody loudspeakers on the things so big brother can bark orders at you

These statistics are usually vastly overestimated. One of the most popularly referenced studies on CCTV in the UK took an 'average' London high street, counted the cameras, estimated the number of pedestrians, worked out some numbers and then applied them to the whole country.
No doubt, we have too much CCTV. No doubt, it can and has and is used for bad reasons by people we have no reason to trust.
But there are bigger fish to fry.

Why do they need the cameras when nearly every mug in the country carries their own personal tracking, video & listening device voluntarily?

That line seems to be the governement mantra these days on CCTV, ID cards and the other forms of fascist control masquerading as security and 'public safety'.
Double-speak in action.
It really pisses me off as well
