People predict nukes in America all the time, yet the only ones that have ever been set off there were done so by the government.
Therefore, statistically speaking, the likelihood of the next nuclear explosion in the US being set off by the government, as opposed to anyone else, is quite high.

lol, a funny things comes to mind reading this, I recall someone saying that before the instillment of the NWO there would be three major things or threats that would need to be present to scare the people into allowing their freedoms stripped;
1. possibility of a complete global economic failure
2. threat of global catastrophes or global warming
3. threat or imminence of a global nuclear war
sounds like it could happen. however something I urge most people to remember is the following saying, by a former president I believe;
" any man willing to sacrifice personal freedom for personal safety is worthy of neither." fingers crossed I'm wrong.

Well how about Vancouver for the 2010 olympics?
Cook up some story about how Al-queda is denouncing the west for its involvement in Afganastan, by targetting one of its cherished traditions, and booooom, we've got more than enough reason to create NAU under US military control, merge economies, borders. Not to mention allowing the US unrestricted access to our natural resources, including, perhaps crucially, the Alberta oil sands.
It all depends how plans unfold in other parts of the world in the meantime.

LOL just a quick newsflash, as far as I know american companies already own most of alberta and BCs oil, we take it out of the ground, process it, then ship it to the americans only to buy it back at a much higher cost. I work in the oilfield and since day one I've seen this happen. also, I believe that the conservative government sold the rights of the oil sands to the USA 30 years ago, dont quote me on it, but I'm pretty sure that the USA ALREADY owns the oil sands.
