Check this out,

A national flu service will be launched later this week in England to relieve the pressure on the health service.

Health Secretary Andy Burnham said the phone and website service will be able to provide flu diagnosis and access to drugs without the need to go to GPs.

Great, so now they are going to bypass doctors and GPs completely.

'Trained staff' will be able to provide a diagnosis over the phone, and then people will be given a number they can use to pick up drugs from an "antiviral collection point".

Facts guys, facts. If you had read into this properly you would know that GPs are being bypassed because they are inundated with people with colds and snuffles, thinking they have swine flu and only hours left to live. Its not an ideal situation but its a logical response to the situation where more and more people are going to the doctors and taking up more of their time.
