Did anyone else catch Buzz Aldrins speech on news 24 last night?
It was really interesting, he mentioned Apophis, a near Earth asteroid with an Earth crossing orbit, & the chance of it colliding with Earth in 2011 or 2035.
It was about 15mins in to his speech, when he mentioned this, & the bbc cut him off.
Apophis means destroyer.
Anyone got video or link to the full speech?

Yeah listened this morning, was "yawn" very early ,he said it was 2011 or 2012, and then he seemed to realiese his mistake and tried to cover himself by spouting a load of dates.

The name of the sun god Re's greatest enemy, a monster in the shape of a snake. The name Apophis (Apep in Egyptian) probably means 'giant' or 'giant snake'.

That image reminds me of Ophiuchus, the 13th sign of the zodiac.

if i'm remembering correctly, in one episode of the tv show stargate sg-1, apophis tries to destroy earth by directing a huge asteroid straight at the planet.

Found this, not the bbc speech, but still interesting in what he says & doesn't say.
Aldrin speaks of a NWO governing the Moon, bases & people on Jupiter.
Decries the USA returning to the Moon & advocates "homesteads" on Mars.
