This is the first time that I have noticed this.
In my latest dole form, on question 3.. Did your partner ( married, registered partner or de facto of the opposite sex or same-sex) do any work in this period
hello??? this is like something out of a Sue Townsend novel,,, like "the Queen and I" would have written, and now it is ... real life? what a joke..
so .. who thinks this is right... wrong... funny.... a joke.. a lot of crap...
I didn't do a poll because.. imo... this is crap, soz, but the ptb doing this PC stuff is beyond a joke.
( and to all the goody goodies out there), I finally received my latest certificate saying how wonderful I was in my latest qualification, )
Fuck 'em I say, and have another smoke. ;) :)
see, I am brilliant, but they still wont have me as a good little slave... ! :p

You are not authorised to give information regarding a third party. For a start if you sign a statement attesting the information you have provided for another person you can be held liable for fraud if it turns out that what you stated was not actually true.
When you apply for benefits- you can only attest to what you know about yourself. All the rest is hearsay.
Don't fall into the trap of providing info about other people you have no control over.
Believe me, I spent over an hour supporting someone in this same situation. They constantly tried to get the claimant to state a falsehood. "Just to make it easy" You cannot testify the truth about someone else, no matter how hard they try. I kept asserting that they are attempting to get the client to state a falsehood. It's all on tape (make sure you do the same)
You cannot state the truth about something that you do not know, for a fact, is the truth.

Thanks very much , wisehaven, but this is my partner, we are living in sin, so to speak, so i know we are both seeking slave crap - - - because we need the money, the dosh, the cash, the dollars, the moolah, smackaroonies, the big bucks, all that stuff!!! Eeek! ( all to pay for basic rights to live, such as water, gas, elec, etc )
Thanks for your post, although it was about the PC stuff, that amazed me.!
I will be in the dole office tomorrow, best dressed. lol

If you are not legally married do not allow them to financially link you together - because the only benefit of that is to their benefit.
They save money by getting people to self link even though they do not have a legal partnership. This way they get to pay you less benefit.
Until two adults form a legal partnership (marriage or civil partnership) they are totally financially independent and should be treated as such under benefit law.
Being two independent financial beings will increase your income by approximately one third.

this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ is very true .
once a council official came round where I live and askedme if my partner was at home .
I told them that she was not but any questions can be given to me because I was the soul bread winner and I pay all the bills and rent .
they said
Council official ) -------- Im sorry but your not the tennent , Ms ???? is the tennent and to give anything away breaks the privacy laws
ME ) OK , you have me down as a partner , and in law a partner means I have an equal right and say over what happens here , so since I am paying you , you will come to me thankyou .
council official ) Im sorry but I am not allowed to converse with you matters that concern Ms ?????
Me ) fine ! be that way . I will stop paying rent , and in the mean time if you ask her how much Im earning and wether I work or not , both you and her will be guilty of breaking the privacy laws because you are not allowed by law to ask for information regarding 3rd parties , also , under no cercumstances is she allowed to give you any information about me and that definately includesd how much I earn . that is breaking the law especially if you profit from this information with out my concent
Ok I might have been wrong in a few places but you get where I was going with that .
It is actually wrong for any council or job aplication or even benifits form to ask you for your
bank accounts
information regarding 3rd parties
it is in a sense fraudulent and unwarrented because it breaks confidential privacy laws .
they must ask the 3rd party ------------them self .
as did in the end I made the council accept that if they wanted info from Sharon about me , that I refuse to allow her to have that info and that they MUST APROACH ME ----------------IF THEY WANT TO KNOW ----------ABOUT ME .
It actually gave some good results too in the end .
lots of bloody time waisting forms though , and letters , but it did work .

Political correctness is designed to actually STOP us from communicating in any way. Its parameters are expanded constantly and its philosphy even encompasses thought. It gathers pace everyday and we are hurtling toward a society where the will be NOTHING you can say, think or feel that is deemed correct. The worst thing about it is that WE are the people that police this ridiculous philosophy.

Here we go again, another work-shy dosser, enthusiastically criticising the very system that befits one with the life of Riley.
Its all about "Screw the system" and "im no slave" until its time to greedily cash that stinking, grubby giro.

The real term for it is Thought Crime, and like you said, it does affect the way we think even though we despise it.

PC has gone extremely overboard, to the point where it's turning into a method of creating Orwellian Crimestop.
