Former governor, first lady recall events following Oklahoma City bombing

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Former Gov. Frank Keating and first lady Cathy Keating plan to share memories of their experiences following the Oklahoma City bombing.
The Keatings will participate in the "First Person: Stories of Hope" series on Friday at the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum.
Frank Keating was in the first months of his first term as governor when the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was bombed on April 19, 1995, killing 168 people and injuring hundreds more.
The Keatings' leadership in coordinating a response generated national attention and acclaim.
From the internationally televised prayer service on April 23 to raising $7 million for scholarships for the 213 children left with one or no parents, the Keatings' commitment made a significant impact.
Keating is now president and CEO of the American Council of Life Insurers.
