Baron Elie Robert de Rothschild of France's Rothschild dynasty dies at 90

VIENNA, Austria (AP) -- Baron Elie Robert de Rothschild, a prominent member of France's Rothschild banking dynasty, died of a heart attack today at his hunting lodge in Austria's Alps, authorities said. He was 90.

Rothschild had been on a hunting trip at his lodge near the village of Scharnitz outside Innsbruck, police in the alpine province of Tyrol said in a statement.

Rothschild had spent the past several days hunting game with friends in the heavily forested area and had planned to return home to France, the statement said.
