Just to get some opinions here.

Would you join MI5 or MI6 if you were offered the chance?

And if so why would you join?

And if not why would you NOT join?

Opinions please.

If I was allowed a load of hot rockin models as my personal assistants maybe.

If I was allowed to go into space whenever I wanted maybe.

If I was allowed to drive really fast cars everyday with no known objective in mind, maybe.

If I was allowed to fly the latest jet fighters with no other purpose than to shatter windows with the sonic booms, maybe

If I was allowed to meet up and get high with the Aliens, maybe.

If I was allowed to have a personal secretary called Miss FunnyFanny, maybe.

If I was allowed an SR-71 Blackbird as my personal travel jet, maybe

Or maybe I might just wanna be an assasin who kills M15, M16, CIA agents with extreme prejudice because I can.:D

I doubt that I would join. All the secrecy stuff will be burdensome to manage in the long run. They may be doing some useful things though. I don't think they are like totally evil.

Just imagine the post office and that is probably how glamorous it really is. This view of them being Bond is predictive programming. A social meme. They never save the world from nuclear bombs and attacks on the individual. They are there to continue the status quo. Monitor students who oppose the state, that sort of thing. Provocateur you into the action they want you to take.

So who are the other three who voted yes?

Can you explain why you would want to join MI5/MI6?

And how joining them would actually make a difference or actually do something positive?

i would love to work for mi5/mi6, but a desk job, manning the computers/surveilence maybe gchq.

as i believe the vast majority of the services eg police, military etc are good people who want to serve the country and its people. i have relatives who work for the services, and they are good people. its the beaurocatic politicans that make things hard for them eg paperwork/under funding, and we all know how corrupt politicians are.

it only the upper echelons that are aware and involved in the shadow agenda.

so if mi5/mi6 is watching, give us a job.

Even if you're an ordinary civil servant, your freedom of speech can be limited. If you join MI5, you are voluntary placing huge restrictions on yourself, and allowing the establishment to delve hugely into your private life before they'll even accept you. Not for me.

intel services are supposed to protect their countries from attack and help maintain security. this is bull. all they do is protect the elite and make sure that the majority stay in the dark, while compromising everyones security. bond is such a massive lie

Nope and I'll give my reason.

When I was leaving the forces I looked into joining them, but the pay was utter shite (both MI5 and MI6 field agents) and you are under the control of illuminati cronies.

For that sort of money I'd rather be master of my own destiny (or at least have more control over it).

Also this was prior to 'being woken up' so utterly no chance.

Edit: I'll add that just look at what they did to that whistle blower who now thinks he's the son of god and cross-dressing. This is how you end up for taking them on directly.

Meh fair enough, but most people who pay taxes or believe the shit they say in the papers, are instruments for the now.
I would prefer the sheeple who work in public services anyday over normal sheeple who work for firms in central london.

I think if you joined any of these group and rose to a high level or in a sensitive position/or position of power you will have some kind of mind control/implant / or other tracking/ monitor type technology on you.......

No. I'm just not that ambitious. You can't change that system from the inside or out. It has to be done away with.

There; my sentiments to the letter.
Also, although I voted 'no', I would consider it when there's a revolution and we need to reform them.

Well said, if there's a revolution hopefully we'd need a much reduced MI6 for starters...

Heh..

Lots off following suits with clipboards, drinking coffee, listening-in to recordings to confirm content, not 'having' to go to the tons of courses that are set up to 'asses' your mind-set, more coffee, lots of proof-reading, coach trips to places without names??? (blanked windows to places with no windows. In short, the bottom of the pyamid
