Vanished, out of thin air, and not a word from anyone about it. Can one of either the 8 or 9 Moderators and 1 Administrator shed some light please?
Thank you.

I didn't get a chance to read the thread, but I wonder why you wouldn't PM that question to one of the moderators or admin, maybe it wouldn't feel like an affront if posed in a more personable manner.

No mate, are you here to moderate a forum or modify members attitudes?
... the thread should not have been deleted, and if any of the staff took offence to the thread or any of its content so much so that they deleted it then surely they should have made contact with the thread originator to let them know?
I don't think I really need to say that contacting the thread originator would also ensure that no real song and dance was made about it publicly in the forum.
And fucked if i'm going to chase (PM) 1 of 10 admin staff to find out what happened, when there is a 9 in 10 chance that they wouldn't fucking know and would have to piss around by asking others in the Hidden moderator/admin forum.
Maybe one of you guys could have done that first when you seen this thread instead of responding with your bollox?
No hard feelings... though remember how you felt ina forum any time your posts or threads were removed unfairly without your knowledge.

Hello,
your forum thread was pointless and going nowhere - only complaining about moderators etc. It was also upsetting other forum users who had posted they would like the thread removed. I also had 2 private complaints about it and an email from another mod.
Sorry that you are not happy, but here is your explanation. If your current thread goes the same way, it too will be deleted.

No, I'm not here to moderate behaviour, and I'm truly sorry if that is the perception you are getting.
All I was doing was simply offering a thought that perhaps your perceived hostility set off one of the admin or moderators. (Just as my perceived 'officious reasoning' has raised issue with you, currently) We're all humans and still subject to many human foibles. I'm not arguing right or wrong, as its not my place having not seen the thread, I'm just trying to ask for a little understanding.

A pointless thread to you may not be a pointless thread for others !!
(Bloody hell, talk about dictating)
It was also upsetting other forum users who had posted they would like the thread removed. I also had 2 private complaints about it and an email from another mod.
Well why didn't you speak to me about it then whilst you were in correspondence with these others? Hmm?
Sorry that you are not happy, but here is your explanation.
Thank you but it sucks big time.
My thread was deleted and I was not informed.

Actually no i'm not, and perhaps you should learn some lessons in proffesionalism from Teslafire before you are assigned the moderator role?

Yes you are, both in the members and in the moderators here as well as the members in The Forum. You want to be the great equaliser.
Your heart is in the right place, though I am unsure how long you can keep up with your agenda and facade?

I understand mate, very clearly.
And in this instance it has been bollox.
So my feelings have been made aware of, I'm now done with it
Thanks

It's ironic but Tesla's turned to be the best mod IMO, he is sympathetic, thoughtful and non condescending, maybe some of the other mods could take a leaf out of his book..
admit it cosmonaut
you are here for....
just here to distract people
wind them up
put people on here against each other

We can agree to disagree, but I certainly value your input and hope you aren't too sour because I think you are capable of offering great insight.
From what I understand the whole world is a battle of wills from the micro to macro level, this has always confused me and made me tepid. So I can honestly say that my will now is directed by my heart and by my feel, my only agenda is to be true to that. I hope that you will be able to observe that as time goes on and in turn I hope that I'll be able to observe more of your passion.
Cheers.

I agree. Tesla is a great moderator and very patient. But there seems to be posters who are impossible to reason with no matter how patient one is, and no explanation is ever good enough for them. This is when a decision has to be made to end the disruption being caused to other forum users. Obviously these same people will complain bitterly when their threads are removed, then start news ones to continue on doing the same thing.
In an ideal world people here would all just shrug and get on with posting worthwhile material instead of continually complaining. But as long as there are disrupters, threads will have to be removed. What more can I say?

I'm begining to get the feeling that you may be one of them? As I certainly am not, so quit jumping to conclusions, at least where i'm concerned. Thank you very much.
What more can I say?
You could always apologise for deleting my thread without letting me know?

Cosmonaut's raised concerns were by no means disruptive IMO, his approach could have been more tactful maybe but disruptive no..
What was disruptive to me was the way he was attacked with seemingly no opposition from the moderators..
lets learn from you ....
life too sort to complain you have my attention

[QUOTE=limelady;6443]people wouldn't feel the need to start threads questioning why you delete everything...
[quote]
but the majority of the forum are not posting those threads... just a hand full of people with about 3 IDs on the same IP, posting so it looks like there are more people complaining.......
we are just dealing with these people.
most of the forum are content and happy to see these threads deleted.

but you have to be sorry when you apologize and none of the mods are sorry that your thread was deleted as it is better now it is deleted. maybe I can say I'm sorry that you posted a thread that had to get deleted, that would be more sincere.
You created the thread so it would be deleted so you can then start shouting at the forum and call us Nazi's...
