View Full Version : Last Episodes of Angel - omg I love it

I always knew Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy, Angel, Dollhouse etc dabbled in some of New World Order concepts, in fact all his work is dripping with it, but the last few episodes of Angel have me freaking jumping in my seat screaming "that mother fucker knows how to make a TV show for awakened souls!"

If nobody knows what the hell I'm talking about, please rent the last couple of seasons of the show, I love this shit!

Seek out the episode Power Play online somewhere.

I know a lot of people don't watch TV, think everything is Illuminati, or think when something like this pops up they are trying to wake people up. Personally I do not know, but I loves me some Illuminati fiction. :p

It's a pity Angel was cancelled when it was, it was a great show.

For the final season (5), Angel became King of All the World as CEO of the law firm Wolfram & Hart (which is an allegory for the dark, Satanic forces controlling the real world we live in) but on here we often use the phrase "PTB", meaning Powers That Be, in a negative way to refer to the same cabal but in Angel the Powers That Be were the forces of Good countering Wolfram & Hart and all the demonic evil in the world.

Perhaps that might tell us something.

Anyway, it was a great show.

I never saw it, but do you guys think it might have been cancelled because it was too close to the mark?

Ratings are manufactured anyway, but it seemed to be pretty damn popular when it got the chop and people still enthuse about it today.

It might indeed have been too close to the mark, but just as likely some Network exec thought the ratings weren't high enough...and that's all...

It was a very popular Buffy spinoff, some say artistically (and I think it's true) that Angel surpassed Buffy in quality.

You should try and get to watch the show, you can do that online for free, all the episodes can be found here -

www.surfthechannel.com

Just search "Angel" - all five seasons are there. Seasons 2, 3, 4 & 5 deal mostly with the conspiracy in allegory and metaphor.

The last ep, "Not Fade Away" was epic, wasn't it? ;)

Scene - Angel, Illyria, Spike and a bleeding-to-death Gunn prepare to face the legion hordes of Hell sent to kill them by the Senior Partners of Wolfram & Hart, whom Angel has betrayed...our heroes against such impossible odds are unmoved...

Angel: "Let's go to work..."

>credits<

THE END

THAT kind of attitude/spirit people, fictional or not, is how we'll beat the New World Order.

Yeah, I liked that Angel connected with others in this; in Buffy he was more of a loner. And I love that Spike came into the show, heh, he and Angel had a wonderful comic rapport and long history. It was a shame that Fred and Wesley, and Angel and Cordy never got their happy ending, but I did like Illyria...in fact, I stole her name (and dropped an 'l') for my pen name for the novel I'm writing atm. :o

The symbology was clever right from the beginning in Angel, moreso than Buffy, which was more fluffy (but enjoyable all the same), remember the series where the beast came and devoured the sun?

And the Wolf, Ram & Hart...I loved when they went to the dimension where Fred was a prisoner and Angel could go in sunlight without burning up. His face was priceless. :)

I used to watch Angel & Buffy years ago, back when i didn't know much about anything and i just saw it as top class entertainment.
It didn't really make me think outside the box or anything like that.
Sorry.

As for the ending of Angel. I remember feeling robbed of a conclusion.
I mean what happened to the whole prophesy thing?
We ended up with 2 vampires with souls and no prophesy fulfilled.
In fact i can't even remember what the prophesy even said. It's been that long since i watched the show i could just be talking shit.

As for Buffy & Angel on a whole:

Five stars for the casting
Five stars for the characters
Five stars for the story lines
Five stars for the constant flow of humour
Five stars for the 'once more with feeling' musical Buffy episode
A galaxy of stars for turning Angel into a Muppet

Good shows;)

Anyone remember the episode where that God lady Jasmine came down and hypnotized everyone. Here's what I wrote on the buffy forums. I don't think they got it at all lol:

"I see W&H as the "global elite" and Jasmine as a metaphor for the staging of events like 9/11 (sun going out...) only to swoop in as the savior from the evil that was created by her in the first place, so she could rule the world, with the people thinking they are free.

You have her manipulating the masses via the media, a martial law like police state where opposers are simply dealt with (under the guise of freedom of course, protecting us from the whack job conspiracy theorists). There is actually a conspiracy theorist in the show who goes nuts."

Yeah, although I think Dollhouse is a little flat, the concept of mind control is something often brought up on the forum. Almost like the Manchurian Candidate -awesome film. Plus Eliza Dushku is all I need to watch a show lol :p

Anyways this topic sparked my imagination so I edited together some clips from the last couple episodes of Angel, spliced in some They Live and Eyes Wide Shut clips and put the intro music to Rosemary's Baby.

And sorry but I completely did not notice the clip with nudity when putting it together. So not send me to hell!

I was actually a late bloomer with this show...my gf got me into it this year, I started watching Angel before Buffy strangely, but it's very hard to pick between the two, both have become my favourite tv shows of all time

and yes, the end to angel was epic, as was buffy, for those who want the comics, you can them online

it is a show symbolic of many things...the inner and outer battles we all endure...jasmine's manipulation was already mentioned..as was the never give up attitude that was always expressed

every episode had its lesson :)

The last episode of Angel was great. I always thought so too. Usually endings suck, whether it's a TV show or a game, the ending is a disappointment. But Angel, that ending was cool.

I haven't seen much of seasons 1 and 2, but they seemed sort of boring, but once they got the hang of it, I would say Angel surpassed Buffy. Buffy was better in the beginning and the middle part but in the end it got sort of lame. Angel was just the reverse.

I've never thought about either of them being "awake" or anything. More like TV for RPG geeks.

I just found out today that Angel is Twilight, the person/organization that is opposing Buffy's Slayer Army in the ongoing comics series. Quite a reveal. I guess anyone who has been following Season 8 or After the Fall would be surprised to learn of the connexion; I mean, apparently the Twilight phase of Angel's story takes place after his own ongoing series wraps. And he can fly; just like Buffy has become Uber-Super Buffy and can fly too now, in the comics. Bizzare, really. I wonder where Connor, Angel's son, fits into this picture? He is currently running Angel Investigations whilst his father is indisposed. I always liked Connor; felt he was misused towards the end of season 4 of the Angel TV series to make a big Darth-Luke story out of what was popular at the time (the Star Wars prequel movies). Anyway, that's me out; hopefully Angel / Twilight and Buffy will kiss and make up and save the world. God knows we need a happy ending in this world, even if only in the world of fiction.

Wow sounds interesting.
I have a feeling that tptb or higher powers or whatever, is really just the Illuminati lol controlling buffy and angel like puppets.

Well, in the Buffyverse, the 'Powers That Be' are good entities who guide Angel; similarly, the Watchers Council did the same for the Slayer, before Buffy changed all that. It's good stuff; though it's hard to discern if there is anything in it that applies to our own real-world situation, even if only in a metafictional way.

There is of course Wolfram & Hart - me likes there triangle logo.

They did have the Illuminati in one of the episodes, but they were Knights Templar rip-offs. The same episode Faith visits a store called Meyer something or other. Meyer is obviously a Jewish name and several Rothschilds had the name Meyer.

There was an episode with Moloch in it.

And who can forget the Freemason mural in the Buffy school cafeteria.

Yes, it all suggests that creator Joss Whedon is very clued in.

You might be confusing him with that blond comedian guy who also did movies...but I can't remember his name.

But Flair is pretty well known, you've bound to come across him at some stage. In wrestling circles he's god.

I think he's probably a Mason, or maybe just a big conspiracy geek.
It appears to me that a lot of this so called piped in stuff, is actually just writers ripping off conspiracy themes because they are entertaining.

Yes, that's it; writers do pilfer from popular culture a lot, and now conspiracy is part of that, it finds its way into stuff we read, see and listen to. I don't think Joss is a Freemason though; just a hunch, he doesn't strike me as the sort of guy who'd possibly take that seriously. Could be wrong though. :)

the watchers council, where completly different to the ptb, thats why they where easily destroyed, where the powers let fate run
