I have just watched the film for the first time a couple days ago. I had a very faint understanding of what the film is about, until I've stumbled on the film site which explains everything in detail what it is about. It was pretty ingenious concept. I wrote a similar film which does not explain much, and you'd have to ask me what the hell happened :). But it lead me to understand a couple things about the nature of the reality by watching the film and reading the explanation.

We don't understand the "reality" (aka the film), unless "God" explains it to us. He/It probably will not explain it to us untill the film is over. The film would not be as exciting if you knew what happened in advance and was running around shouting... "This is what's going on! I know, I know! Listen to me!" to everyone in the theater. The truth is, everyone in the theater has their own theory. Many will coincide, but most if not all are wrong. So we find ourselves following "Franks", who we don't know if they are imaginary to begin with, in search for true meaning of reality. We can only guess what is going on, but our guesses are probably so far off... that we will be amazed in the end IMO. If "God" really exists, then there are no simple explanations. There can be simplified explanations, but not simple.

Very interesting concept though. I'm sure the post is about 5 years late, but nevertheless. :D
