Once I was told that dog's do this to express their anal glands.
It is to try and relieve the discomfort. :(

I remenber when i was younger.
A friends dog used to do it all the time (but the dog dident have worms)
the family used to get so embarrassed!
I used to say: look! your dog's trying to shag the carpet again! :D :p
And he would get :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:
