Not the military stuff. No tanks, no bullets.:D
In my country, there is a "discussion" about how cars are weapons, actually. What is going on can now almost be seen as a pattern. There are some who became filthy:D rich during the last decade or more. Fine, let them enjoy their stolen wealth. But, in the hands of some people, this becomes a leathal weapon, nothing new about that.
Like, for example, there have been many (just waaay too many) road accidents in which very young people, aged 17 - 22 or so drive strong, unbelievably expensive cars, drunk, on drugs, often without license and at high speed. They kill people. There are just too many similar accidents. Too many. Like there is a pattern somehow. In a small country like mine, one just cannot help noticing that something is not right.
And what happens? They go free. The legal system doesn't punish them (or the punishment is ridiculous) with incredible excuses.
The reason given by the court is, for example, that the family is "socially acceptable", whatever that means (actually: filthy rich with liasions everywhere and almost almighty):D and the rest of us are s*rewed.
The problem where I live was created (this segment, of course we can go further in the past and much wider than this) by allowing and encouraging scum to get rich. Nobody noticed it then, we were too concentrated on the war and looking forward to our capitalism future (oh, how wonderful, wonderful it is now) after half a century of socialist dictatorship.:D The horrible things that their children (and themselves, too) are doing now goes with the reaction part.
What are "they" going to do about it?
They?
But - it's them and their kids killing and raping and going free, and they were less then two decades ago either communist dictators or disidents and the worlds were between them and their arrogant offspring is now united in what we sarcastically call "golden youth".
See - there is no difference, ideologies are just masks and people give lives for those ideologies.
I am trying to say this: you don't need a single event that will shake the world like 11 September. Look at everyday life, little things, your peers, neighbours, passers-by, news that people usually forget the next day...
Really, you don't need bullets and huge building collapsing and the whole world in terror, sometimes is just so called normal everyday life.
The same thing, just the level is different and nobody finds it important enough.
Why do we have to wait for the "reaction" part to notice that this is all so wrong?
Are we all blind?:D
