Police fear far-right terror attack

Guardian.co.uk | Article (http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/jul/06/far-right-terrorism-threat-police)

• Extremists want to stoke race tensions, officer warns
• Counter-terrorism unit diverting resources to threat
• No specific intelligence of planned strike, sources say

Scotland Yard's counter-terrorism command fears the extreme right will stage a deadly terrorist attack in Britain to try to stoke racial tensions, the Guardian has learned.

Senior officers fear the attack will be a "spectacular" that is designed to kill people. The counter-terrorism unit has moved officers to beef up its monitoring of the extreme right's potential to stage attacks.

Commander Shaun Sawyer told a meeting of British Muslims concerned about the danger posed to their communities that police were responding to the growing threat.

Sawyer said of the far right: "I fear that they will have a spectacular ... They will carry out an attack that will lead to a loss of life or injury to a community somewhere. They're not choosy about which community." MORE . (http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/jul/06/far-right-terrorism-threat-police).

Here we go again. They are trying to ferment race strife. But luckily most people educated in the UK are non racist and have friends of all religions.

The biggest threat to our safety based on the DE MENEZES case - the G20 Case and possibly 7.7 is from the POLICE themselves !!!!

I cant see any terror group wanting to bomb anyone in the UK anymore. There is not mileage in it - the IRA and 9.11 have made any terror attacks in the UK positively non spectacular. Unless they blew up the Prime Minister and succeeded ( The IRA blew up Thatcher in Brighton but she lived ) then it would not be a spectacular........

This is total and complete non-sense.

This article will do several things:

1. Subliminally introduce the idea to the sleeping population
2. Provide justification for further reductions in civil liberty
3. Possibly provide fledgling inexperienced right wing fruit cakes with the idea to try it. Which will be enabled by security service agent provocateurs who will "Up Skill" and support that activity.
4. Discredit the BNP, currently the only threat to the LibLabCon pact of traitors. BNP will be scapegoated by some tenuous fabricated link or infiltrated by cointelpro which will prove the BNP were involved.

The only groups with the experience, organisation, logistical or command and control to carry out this type of operation are paramilitary organisations like the Provisional IRA or UVF type groups and this type of activity is way out of their usual modus operandi or political motivation.

This whole thing will be fabricated much like the Oklahoma City bombing and other equally amateurish attempts to spread fear and kickstart a Problem Reaction Solution (PRS) operation.

It seems they have run out of "Muslim Menace" scenarios so have to balance it out with another sort of "home grown" manufactured terrorism.

Police fear far-right terror attack

• Extremists want to stoke race tensions, officer warns

• No specific intelligence of planned strike, sources say

Scotland Yard's counter-terrorism command fears the extreme right will stage a deadly terrorist attack in Britain to try to stoke racial tensions,

Senior officers fear the attack will be a "spectacular" that is designed to kill people.

"I fear that they will have a spectacular ... They will carry out an attack that will lead to a loss of life or injury to a community somewhere. They're not choosy about which community."

He said the aim of any attack would be to cause a "breakdown in community cohesion".

Sawyer told the meeting last Wednesday that more of his officers needed to be deployed to try to thwart neo-Nazi-inspired violence. He said the terrorist threat posed by al-Qaida remained the unit's priority

Sources have told the Guardian that while they believe the neo-Nazi terrorist threat has grown, they have no specific intelligence of an attack.

"There is an increased possibility of violence from the far right.

"people who don't like immigration, people who don't like Islam. We're seeing a resurgence of anti-semitism as well."

British Muslims have been a particular target of neo-Nazi propaganda, and groups representing them say they have felt increasingly vulnerable after the al-Qaida attacks on London in July 2005.

The threat the far right poses to Britain's Jewish communities is monitored by the Community Security Trust, which says attempted terrorist violence by neo-Nazis in Britain has increased in the past few years.

"The violent fringes of the far right have shown a desire and intention to carry out terrorist violence against minorities in the UK.

Most of those convicted are believed not to have been part of a group. Opinion among those tracking the violent far right differs. Some believe neo-Nazi terrorists are acting outside networks, making it harder for them to be caught and investigated.

"There's no one directing people, it's a mindset" – a reference to the easy availability of extremist rightwing material and information about making homemade bombs.

"They believe that violence begets violence. They hope it will cause a backlash."

I'm not sure there is any more room in that article for any more speculative words... it is at capacity!

These 'sources' know it all, don't they..? ...they know how their minds work, they know their motives, they know their emotions, they know their beliefs, they know what they're planning and they know what they have for breakfast.

Why can't the Police simply ask these 'sources' for the names and addresses of these 'extemists' and save a lot of bother.

I actually think the terrors aimed at the muslim culture was phase 1, this will be phase 2 their opposites..the far right..these 'new' terrorists will be seen to be fighting the war on terrror the wrong way, creating a polemic front for more and more acts of terror to be carried out in the name of each group..then the following curfews, state of emergency and martial law..

These days when police/intell put out warnings they should all start with:

"What we intend to do and cause" But I guess most of you know that.

Wish the people about my town realised that.
