DNA databases

So within the last decade, we've seen the mass proliferation of government DNA databases and DNA sampling...any speculations out there as to why?

I think the real agenda of the dna database is too keep tabs on the locations of everybody on this earth eventually and take a further step of producing a biometric card. After people see how successful this proposed step is then the illuminati will introduce the mark of the beast (biochip)turning the chipped into slaves. Everyone has their own specific frequency which is linked to our creator source. Once this known there is more opportunity for the illuminati to target a person for whatever reason with mind control. There might be a link to the coming ascension of 2012 which the illuminati are trying to hamper by putting up a frequency fence around the earth.

Although this is fiction, I did find the story to be very chilling after reading many of David's books. The X-Files season 2 had an episode where Mulder and Scully find millions of hidden medical files which all included a tissue sample. The eposide is called "Paper Clip".

I know I certainly don't buy the reasoning that it will help solve crimes.
