Can anyone point me in the right direction to understand what common purpose is. I have googled it but cannot work out what is it, what is does and why it isn't mainstream.

Why is it not mainstream, well the same reasons a lot of things are not mainstream. The Fabian Society and New Labour are behind Common Purpose, which makes them very powerful also they have infiltrated the media. BBC managers now have to be Common Purpose trained if they are to rise up the ladder.
