This is one, of numerous examples, of 'Pay/Do that and you'll get rich'! Another example is receiving a leaflet, saying 'Phone us now, and you'll receive the Big $$ Prize'! When you phone them, the one & only thing, you receive, is a Big $$ phone bill!
And I am starting to think that this is all part, of the overall Deceit, in this country!!
Oh, but we've got our National Lottery! Surely you can trust them?
Erm..., the Camelot Group that is (do I have to comment?). They are so computerised, they couldn't go wrong (in cheeting on us)!! This is for sure :) :o :)!!!!
What do you think, guys?

I got mail today - earn $2000 a day by typing ads! http://www.type-at-home.com
Pay us $35 and we'll tell you how to earn $2000 a day for 30 minutes work.
Yeah... so basically
I pay you $35 and you tell me how to spam other people's inboxes
And if they're mental enough to reply, like I am, and shell out $35 then
I'll receive a percentage of that.
Wow!
I was almost suckered...
NOT.

It's amazing that spammers still continue with the same junk. It could be that old spammers give up, but that kids who grow up are replacing them at a constant rate.

Or maybe...
People are really stupid
And the spammers make a mint.

these things are now illegal in south africa, i'm not sure how they'll police it on the net, but the ones in mailboxes and newspapers are now illegal, a piece of legislation i actually agree with.

And sometimes people are curious, so they click on a link even when they know it is fraudulent spam. So the fraud then only serves as a form of bait.

Who knows, maybe black politicians are less corruptable!
(Though i've heard there's a great deal of corruptions, in SA too :()

Its occurred to me that spam serves a purpose for the Police State. We now have Spam Filters with 'automatic downloadable Rule Updates'. This gives someone the power to 'severely restrict' a genuine message sent to many people at once should they so wish. It is also a 'Problem' that people 'react' to and therefore they can offer a 'solution' of their own choosing later.
I am not at all convinced they couldn't stop this at source should they wish.

This was from 2003:
http://www.theregister.com/2003/08/11/nsa_proposes_backdoor_detection_centre/
Declaring hidden malware to be "a growing threat", the National Security Agency's cybersecurity chief is calling on the US Congress to fund a new National Software Assurance Center dedicated to developing advanced techniques for detecting backdoors and logic bombs in large software applications.
