I'm a big fan of David Icke but one thing that bothers me is that on one of his earlier interviews he'd said that Saddam Hussein is dead and they'll find his body soon or something like that. His prediction was wrong... right? Like 15 years off. I'm just wondering if there is another story behind this like the story behind when he said he's the son of God. Or was he just wrong?

Well I've heard some people say Saddam was dead for a while... I haven't really looked into it much.

The Saddam they captured in the cave in the ground had quite the llarge beard and some say it's suspicious because of that reason and the time in which had for it to grow). I haven't really studied this aspect too much

As far as David Icke saying "he was the son of God" - I think that was mainly a twisting of what he said but silly media early on.

He might have implied he had a "cosmic consciousness" where he directly experienced union with all of Reality but people misinterpretted what he was saying as thinking he said he was actually Jesus Christ.

People in Christian nations don't have much of a knowledge of this but in India, this type of experience is well known .

In the past, within the realm of the Roman Catholic Church, some mystics who had this experience and talked about it were burnt at the stake for heresy... the Church only allows the historical Jesus to have that experience ;-)

(personally I have heard in at least one spot in the existing early Greek texts of which the Bible is composed, there is a place where it has Jesus saying he is "a son of God" and not "THE son of God".

There's a video where someone asks him to clarify wether he said he was the second coming of Christ (nearing the 3 minute mark)

David Icke with Fern Britton: Part 1 of 3 - YouTube

You can tell that some people in the audience just think he's nuts for what he's saying.

I'm saying I agree fully with everything he's said but I may find a lot of it possible. Perhaps he has refined his views since this early time though.

oops... I misunderstood and thought you were also asking opinions on if he was wrong about supposedly saying he was Christ (which he didn't really say as far as I have heard)
