When we focus on the negative then there is always at the same time the opposite side of the coin which is positive, but hidden. So focusing on the negative is not really a problem if we honor the positive side of the coin at the same time.

Yeah I mean, I seriously hate brussle sprouts, hating them makes me realise how much I love leeks.

Thinly slice up some leeks and shallots, fry them in a pan with some sage, mmm yum yum.

Yeah, something like that. It should be possible to be mindful of the bad things in life and have that balanced with the good stuff at the same time.

Absolutely, all this New Age anti negative thinking is all wrong, you have to look at the big black cloud to see the silver lining. The same with junk food, you have to eat a Big Mac to appreciate a medium rare steak, especially if it's got a yummy pepper sauce mmm my fav :) I'm starving hungry now.

lol. Yes, food is definitely one area of opposites. Maybe instead of as many New Age teachings promote, to focus on the positive, to focus on the negative first, and only after the negativity has been grokked to move into the positive.

Great analogy anders, onto it mate.
Balance for sure,......... we have day and night, they show up following each other..........

wouldn't it be great to be even, would it be boring though, and are we of the light, therefore, only on one of the 2 teams, therefore, always having to push and pull for balance, interesting.........

farout thats why I really dig this forum, beautiful anders

We can look at our own personal ups and downs mood swings. When that is in balance, it should be as much highs and lows, so that the average is centered.

Let's say that -10 represents the baddest emotions and +10 the highest ecstasy and bliss. Then in ordinary life there should be a waveform with ups and downs around a center represented by zero on the scale. The problem is that it often seems like there are more negative moods than positive, so instead of the center being balanced at zero, we may have for example a center of -3. Boredom, for example, is not a centered zero state but a negative trough. There should be both crests and troughs in the graph, sometimes big sometimes small, because life is motion, but the average midpoint should be at zero, not at a value below zero.

That is to say that the "good" manifesting in one's life already contains the as yet unmanifested "bad". Therefore, the "bad" that is manifesting in one's life contains the as yet unmanifested GOOD!!

Let me suggest to you marinating it in a sauce consisting of the following.

sherry
thick double cream
dijon mustard
cajun spice
salt & pepper

Leave it for a good few hours and then cook it.

yeah!

here is why "no when, no want, no worry", from the same site

Everyone asks me...

Q. What is the meaning of "no when, no want , no worry"?

A. Prior to having
"no when, no want, no worry"
play on our hero's ipod
I stole the
Sai Baba phrase
"Love all Serve all"
and used it on the site.

But my spiritual advisor said that
it wasn't a "good idea" to steal
spiritual phrases.

So I had to write something
original for our hero to be listening to.

One night I was watching 60 Minutes
and they were visiting
the Moken people who are
a tribe of gypsies
who live in the
Andaman Sea in Southeast Asia.
The moken spend 70% of the time
on the ocean.

The deal is,
they all survived the tsunami.

They saw it coming cuz
they are super in touch
with the ocean.
But here's the deal.

The interviewer asked
one of them how old he was.
The gypsy didn't know.

So then the interviewer asked
the interpreter why none of the gypsies
knew their ages.
The interpreter said it's cuz
when one lives on the water
all day
everyday
fishing, eating, swimming
time does not exist.
There is only now.
The moken don't even have
a word for "when".

Thus "no when".

It's a spiritual thing.
That's what our hero wants.
Peace.
Peace and quiet and distance from
the big
multinational
corporate
asshead
boss.

I also wanted apple to sponsor
whackyourboss.com.
All I can tell you is it didn't
go over too well.
Imagine that...
ten thousand people a day
watching a guy
on whackyourboss
listen to an ipod.
Ever hear of
product placement?
Helllooo?

The gypsies
also don't have
a word for "want".

They either have or need
but they want for nothing.
WTF?
I gotta put that on
our hero's ipod I thought.

But in sit-com writer's school
which I did not personally attend
it is said that
such things work best in threes.

No when. No want.... No.... ?

You got it.
The Moken word for "worry"?

You've got no worries.
If you've got
no "when" and no "want".
Thus ...

No when.

No want.

No worry.
