View Full Version : Caesarean delivery can alter DNA?

"Researchers at Karolinska Institutet believe they have discovered the DNA mutations that explain why children delivered by planned Caesarean are at a higher risk for immunological diseases such as asthma, cancer and diabetes."
"While stress builds up gradually during normal birth, the nervous systems of babies delivered via Caesarean are exposed to sudden stress. At the same time, some DNA genes are turned off while others are switched on."
Strange stuff. How can you change DNA just like that? If it's true, that'd be great news. I could unlock new abilities in myself just by changing the way I feel. Learn to levitate and use telekinesis.

Any birth for a baby is quite likely horrible, especially in an hospital environment, eek, imagine the bright lights and the smack on the bum, what a horrible introduction to life! cesarian would likely be even worse, feeling the cutting and being pulled out, eek!!!

Good point, but I think the point in the news is the accusation that it can alter DNA. Is it a common accusation that stress can alter DNA? Is it like the love/fear vibration? You vibrate fear and your DNA changes for the worse, you vibrate love and it changes for the better?

The 'c' section is carried out at any excuse nowadays.Mothers dont want to feel the pain, staff want freeing-up
You can bet your ass that because this isnt a natural way to give birth then it would not hold any benefits

I suppose I am not the best person to ask, because i think DNA is altered by aliens and they can make it worse in any birth situation...
but even if i didnt believe that, i would say yes, caesarian is un-natural and could alter DNA , and the mothers of today , because their doctors tell them to, treat it as an easy option. But I have seen the scars of the mum's tummy's, and it aint pretty.
It is best to vibrate love , quite obvious...
Anders should be here, he is great on health issues :)

I really believe this finding to be true. My 1st son was born c-section and my last two children were born natural. It was not my choice about my 1st son..and the more I think about it the more pissed I get! My oldest son has had all kinds of medical issues since the day he was born. He also has asthma..and when he was born he was put in icu because of having low blood sugar. I have had one problem after another with him when it comes to sicknesses. My last two have only had little colds...nothing more! This makes so much sense now, and I really believe these findings. I couldn't possibly figure out why my oldest son was going through what he has gone through....now I know!!!!

I hope you dont mind, but do you have astrological charts for your kids?
Someone could help you, if you are interested... there is a forum on here.
I hope your eldest is ok :)

If it is true. What else can change your DNA? Cell phone radiation, plasma TVs, car exhaust, cat feces?

oh christ, chuffing great.....not......our lass had to have an emergency c-section, she has epilepsy, was 2 weeks over-due, and was induced for a natural birth, but due to compplications, and the baby's heart rate dropping to 50 beats they decided on an emergency c-section.......this took the numpty's 6 hours to decide might i add :(
Ruby wasn't breathing at first but soon fired up after, and she is pretty content 12 months later :)....
anyway life story over, you can all wake up now :) ......but we were told because of the complications it may be better to have an 'elective' c-section next time.......

The child does not feel the cut at all. The main cut in the belly of the woman is done with a different 'cut' to the birth bag (plasenta) and that cut is like using a tiny blade to open a beach ball to retrive an apple as there is tons of space. The child still go's into shock. It is natures way of kick starting the lungs to start breathing.

It is likely that because it costs more to do a c section, that the medical council (a money making company) want to save money.

I had to have two C sections, sadly not by choice..............Both babies are really healthy, strong immunity, no allergies, ultra bright (3 year old can read already and is very physically strong too) 1 yr old walking and talking. So i dont think that it makes you weaker, or necessarily have altered DNA. I am brighter, more intuitive, happy etc More so than when i had no babies and no c sections.
However, i have been trying to reactivate part of my DNA that was manipulated by aliens..............all that time ago with little success so far, any ideas on reclamation?
:D

My oldest is a Libra (Sept 23)
next son is Virgo (Sept 20)
and my daughter is Cancer (June 24)
Can you please give me the link you're referring to?
Thank you.
Yes, my oldest is fine now..but he has just always been the one with 'sicknesses'. He is 13 now, and his asthma is controllable. I have always used as much 'home remedies' with him as I could. They did remove his adenoids and tonsils this helped a lot since his asthma was 'allergy asthma'.
I knew with him after having the c-section that it didn't feel right. I did not receive bonding time with him, actually I did not get to see him for 4 hrs after birth. They claimed I was going to go into convulsions (which is their reasons for the c-section). For my other two I refused the c-section and everything just felt right...as it was suppose to be.
BUT if I knew then what I knew now...I would have never had any type of medication or anything.....uggggh. But what can I say or do now...just hope for the best and now try to keep them safe and out of danger.:confused::confused:

I think an issue is that a lot of women who choose c-section are unlikely to decide to breastfeed which would lead to susceptibility to many diseases

Apart from celeb's, I don't know where people are getting the idea from that C-section is something women are offered routinely, to save them the discomfort of birthing.
I know it was never mentioned as an option at all when I had my two. (Not that I'd have selected it).
I can't think how it could alter the DNA - it doesn't seem logical.
I have read though that ultra-sound scans effect which side of the baby's body is it's dominant one - left or right handedness untimately depending on the number of scans given - but I don't remember the scientific explanation for that.

noone is offered it, but everyone knows about celebs and too posh to push so people ask. A c-section guarentees and obstetrician can be on the golf course by 3pm instead of waiting around for a woman and her selfish want for natural birth.

Same here Gilly, I just gave birth 3 months ago and admittedly had seriously considered a C-section due to an underlaying health condition I had been concerned about
however if anything the docs were pretty insistant I have a natural birth which was the right advice and all went well in the end.
Point being here, even when the docs were presented with a valid reason for a C-sec they were pretty confident a natural birth was the right course and did everything in their power to put me off a C-sec, which frankly I'm grateful for looking back now. :)

Here in the U.S. it is offered  to normal people/non-celebs too.
My daughter is five now, but at one of my first pre-natal appointments they asked me if I would like to schedule a date and time for a C-section. They made it sound like it was a matter of convenience for all involved.
I said no thanks :D

I know kids born by c section that are very robust and sickly kids that were born the natural way.
Nature is so complex in it's design . Maybe there are certain mechanisms and hormonal releases during the birthing process that affect the babies immune system. We already know that breast feeding affects this, plus we already know that stress affects the immune systems of peeps in general. Anything is possible.

I still feed mine both aged 3 and 1.........i was taught to feed my son by an african man in hospital............breastfeeding is fundamental to the health between mother and child. Can get very accurate stats if you wish x

All family members need to eat a highly vitamin and mineral rich plant based diet in order for the strength of the immune system to maintain good health and it all starts with the type of food that we eat. (we must not immunise that alters the DNA)
 my eat very well and they literally glow and don't get sick that often even thought they are exposed to mainstream germs and nursery bugs.
:) fully recommend this way of eating to all children.

Hmm I have never considered C-Sections having an effect on DNA!
yes C-Sections are offered routinely around here , not only that, women are forced to give birth by C-Section in some hospitals if they are having twins for instance, or a "large" baby, or if they have had a C-Section previously
