Dreaming Of Death?

For some reason I keep having dreams that I am being shot and I die. I feel the melting away of my consciousness if that makes any sense, but I then wake up before I'm truly gone.

One time I was in some kind of war being carried off on a stretcher with my mum and sister looking down on me, then machine gun fire (presumably at me), they all screamed at me not to go and I faded off with a powerful static feeling and noise in my head.

A more recent one, I was driven to the an empty supermarket car park at night by somebody I thought was my friend, then I got a sense of dread and he took me out I knelt down in fear and he shot me. I got the same melting away feeling, like it was truly over then I woke up.

Commonly these dreams come with a static sort of boom through my ears and head. I've had a few falling of building dreams where the static builds up until I hit the floor.

As dreams go I've been getting more lucid recently, keeping a dream journal etc.

I've also experienced sleep paralysis/night hags, and the old fluffy creature thing.

oh also I often dream of being drunk, and falling and banging my head. Sometimes this is slow motion.

Interesting post. The last dream I had of dying was odd: I was Hitler in the snow of the Steppes in Russia. I was chased by someone with an axe.
I often have the falling dream though.
I think I am going to start keeping a dream journal again, inspired by the OP. :cool:

interesting. i just woke up this morning with a dream of me being killed. Don't exactly remember how i died though. But the dream was interesting. Before i died i could see this one guy, he was transparent...a ghost, a dead person.

But when i died I was able to see him fully visible. We talked and teleported and stuff.

My alive mother could also see me transparently....weird dream.

When You had such a dream of being killed. Try to recal how old You were then, what was your name, how you look like there etc. You might be suprised ;)

Hard to say, it can be many things.

Someone might want to see You death, You may dream about Your own future death, it might be a warning of some accident, it can be a memory of past life, it might be also resoult of some movie :)

I also kept on having similar dreams for a couple of years some time ago. On them I was stabbed, shot, and even died in a nuclear explosion and witnessed how my flesh was burnt until my skeleton visible (time when I woke up; extremely agitated and unsettled).

And during that time I also felt paralysed in lucid dreams without being able to move or fully wake up.

Both type of dreams stopped as suddenly as they started; I never experienced any of them for a good 3 years now.

I've heard that dreaming of hearing a loud gun shot while dreaming can signal having an out of body expereince (especially the vibrations in your head). It happened to me once. Maybe the dreams are also symbolic of dying to your old self and be 'born anew'?

I keep having this dream couple times of month where im running in the woods like hell and then somebody shoots me on the back. I can actually feel horrible pain in that dream. I often wake up with my bed all messed up and pillows are weird places:eek:

sounds to me as though your subconscious is trying to tell you something like this ;

many a strange dreams can happen when becoming conscious of the true nature of what is going on at planet earth .

sleep deprivation doesnt help big time .

been there my self and experienced the same things .

allgone now .

I had hit the bottom many times and just got up , mainly because in my dream states i was not frightened of the fall .

mainly because in those dreams i was aware that if i die , i dont die ,

if you get my drift .
