I've just been arguing with my mum over Flu vaccines. She has had one every year for ever, and claims to have never had flu since she was 18. However what I'd call Flu, she'd call a bad bug or cold. What actually is Flu lol?
And has anyone read the study that says you are 3 times more likely to get flu if you take the vaccine?

Flu most certainly is not the same as a bad cold.
With flu you have the common cold symptoms but also run a high temperature for 2 or 3 days.
After that you're completely depleted of energy and need recovery for a week or more.
At least these have been my flu symptoms in the past.

That's what I'd say, but some are arguing that that isn't "real flu" just man flu. Real flu is where you can barely move.
The point is I think my mum has had flu many times.

Well that is what I mean, I can't move when having flu. Temperature too high for that. Totally spent..
