Wow, lets give this guy more ways to control the thoughts of the masses. The Wall Street Journal actually had some informative articles every now and then. We can forget that now. A member of the Bancroft family will be getting a position on News Corps board. What a surprise.Several members of the family said they feared the quality and independence of the paper would suffer under Murdoch. Good to see the family has some sane members left. The papers managing editor, Marcus Brauchli, reassured newsroom employees that the paper would continue its editorial independence. He was kidding of course... wasn't he? Goodness, Marcus, what would be the point of Murdoch buying you then? You think he needs more money?
Murdoch promised that he would not interfere with the papers newsroom. C'mon, you know Rupy is good for his word. He agreed ( with himself I guess) to set up a 5-member board whose initial members would be chosen by News Corps and Dow Jones with the power to hire and fire editorial officials. See people, HE will not interfere just like he said. What are you worried about?
