I used to wear sunglasses all the time before I discovered SunGazing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vv1VPQr7GZ4 and being able to adjust to the Suns rays (with caution)..enhancing the third eye chakra starting to see some colours that are so vibrant.. :)
I haven't worn any 'protection' since...at one time I used to buy expensive 'Ray Bans' but now thankfully I can see the scam that it is.. if man was put on this earth without sunglasses then we don't need them..
I am not sure if the attraction of these big dark eyes is not associated with extra terrestrials? What is it that makes people think they look 'good' wearing them because once you acclimatise yourself without them, you start to 'see right through them'
A total scam and waste of money...

Yeah but those mirrored ones are great for getting an eyeball of whoever takes your fancy, lol
No, I donty wear them, never did and never will. I like the sun too much.
Ive noticed I can read perfectly well outside in the sunshine but I have to put on reading glasses at night

I am not a fan of sunglasses, especialy those big huge bug eye ones that tiny women wear. However if I don't wear some kind of protection, sunglasses or hat, I will get a migraine.
Doesn't matter what time of day it is, so don't think I would be able to adjust to it. Try to get as much sun as possible without sun block for the vitamin D though.

Maybe people just want to avoid getting cataracts from UV radiation rather than wanting to look like aliens? If you end up with cataracts you'll need all the help you can get from your third eye because you'll be half blind in your regular ones

Yeah, first they say that we are mere mammals. And then they tell us that we must wear sunglasses. Total bollocks.
I suspect the sun can be dangerous for the eyes if we believe it's dangerous.
But sunglasses can be worn for fashion reasons. That's actually a better use than for some 'protection'. :)

TThere must be some disinfo for why sunglasses are recommended. I dont buy the 'cataracts' thing for one instant. More like staring at the telly or computer screen is damaging for your eyes

I only wear them on to protect everyone from my red-eye:D;)

I do protect my eyes from very strong sunlight by turning my head away from the direct Sun (esp strong mid day) as in the Sungazing vid it can 'poison' your eyes and I use a car visor if it is strong direct sunlight at this time of year...
I don't think sunglasses are attractive at all in a fashion sense any more..they look to me as though people are hiding behind a screen and they look 'good' it also does not allow people to be looked directly in the eyes..imo shows true emotions...
I don't interpret how this smilie represents the illusion 'cool' anymore  as would be perceived in 'the fashion sense by most people...

I don't give a shit how dark it is, I always have mine on!
Can anyone think of any animal that has to squint when they see a bright light? (e.g. deer in the headlights). Something to ponder... :)

Have you never noticed anything slightly different about the skin colour and sometimes eye colour of people in those parts of the world? The pigmentation is caused by melanin which absorbs and protects against UV radiation.
I have blue eyes and they are overly sensitive to the sun causing me to squint and sometimes will give me a headache. I would rather wear shades and see properly than have to go around squinting all over the place.
Quite handy if you want to conseal the fact you are mashed also.

What rubbish. If you're staring at the sun trying to adjust your eyes to it you really need to re-think your life dude. And yes man wasn't born with sunglasses, but we were also not born wearing sun screen. And you can't tell me you wouldn't burn to a crisp in a desert.

Sunglasses are essential if you are either skiing during the daytime or fishing during the day. If you're fishing you need the sunglasses to be able to see the water clearly to see where fish break the surface. If you're skiing you need it to prevent snow glare.
Other than that I agree with you that it is much healthier to not wear sunglasses.

Eskimos made their own 'sunglasses', essential for hunting.

That's what I said :)
If we are truly a hybrid race of alien/early man, the 'alien' part of us may have come from a dark planet who could not adjust to the brightness of Earth. Now think about Cro Magnon eyes/forehead, they have a natural 'shade' :)

No one stares at the sun, it hurts the eyes.
Sunglasses are therefore for vanity, as no one does this.
Why is this being discussed!
IMO - Only pretencious ppl wear them, as the squint does the job!

I cant see anything without sunglasses, polarized ones at that. Even with them on, on a cloudy day, I will still squint. Without sunglasses on a clear day, Im almost blind... Ill keep my right eye closed, and my left eye just barely open, and hand over my eyes, I can just make out whats in the narrow range of light I let in. And just like Corey Hart, I wear my sunglasses at night, too, if any bright lights will be shining (such as headlights while driving).

It always amuses me how some folks can see conspiracies and scams in some of the most mundane things in life. Sunglasses? Lol. Maybe theres also some type of conspiracy behind toilet paper... maybe "they" invented toilet paper because "they" know that spinning the roll actually creates inter-dimensional sub-space vortices that siphon the energy out of the lower chakras and puts it all into a giant lower fourth density capacitor which the elite need to feed off to survive! Yeah! YEAH! That MUST be it! Theres no other possible explination as to why toilet paper would have been invented!
...
Or maybe it was invented to keep your ass clean. Pretty far out there, huh? I guess its equally absurd to assume that sunglasses were invented to protect your eyes from sun damage, as well.
/Sigh... talk about paranoia....

Apparently some people do. Albeit, they are of the more flighty variety, but some people actually do think that staring into the sun benefits them in some physical way. I wonder if such people also take time out of their days to stare into 3m candlelight spot lights and laser pointers too... I actually wouldnt be suprised, quite frankly.

I have never worn them but that's mainly because I am terribly short-sighted and need ordinary glasses and cannot afford an additional pair with tinted lenses and can't get into those clip-over shades you can get either.

Prescription glasses, that's the scam. Seriously, how much does it really cost to make a pair of glasses? The profit margin is about a gazillion %....but people need to see, so they're fleeced by the entire industry.

id like to sing the song "my futures so bright, i gotta wear shades" but change the words to " they know our futures so bright, they makes us wear shades, to keep us from learning the truth, about who we really are, and why we're really here, and that bog roll opens vortices into higher dimensions". Its still a work in progress and needs tweaking here and there, was gona get mj to sing it but ill have to phone george michael to see if he can do it now!!!!
