The Abolition of Slavery Act has been repealed.
From http://www.statutelaw.gov.uk it is not clear what act it was repealed by, and why.
Anybody know??

Couldn't agree more mate.
Was wondering if it's been replaced by a modern equivalent, or just repealed.

lol yep.
It's also even mentioned on wikipedia would you credit it...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery_Abolition_Act_1833
Now here's the interesting part..
"However, this repeal has not made slavery legal again, as sections of the Slave Trade Act 1824, Slave Trade Act 1843 and Slave Trade Act 1873 are still in force"
If you actually look up these acts you'll see that it's mentioned that slaves are "brought in" whatever that means....
"3.
Visitation and seizure by cruisers, &c. of suspected slave ships.
Where a vessel is, on reasonable grounds, suspected of being engaged in or fitted out for the slave trade, it shall F5 . . . be lawful—
(a)
If the vessel is a British vessel, or is engaged in the slave trade within British jurisdiction, or is not a vessel of a foreign state, for any commander or officer of any of Her Majesty’s ships, for any officer bearing Her Majesty’s commission in the army or navy, for any officer of Her Majesty’s customs in the United Kingdom, [F6 or Channel Islands, for any member of the Isle of Man Constabulary,], for the governor of a [F7 colony], or any person authorised by any such governor, F8 . . .
(b)
If the vessel is the vessel of a foreign state, for any commander or officer of any of Her Majesty’s ships, when duly authorised in that behalf, in pursuance of any treaty with that state, F8 . . .
to visit and seize and detain such vessel, and to seize and detain any person found detained or reasonably suspected of having been detained as a slave, for the purpose of the slave trade, on board any such vessel, and to carry away such vessel and person, together with the master and all persons, goods, and effects on board any such vessel, for the purpose of bringing in such vessel, person, goods, and effects F5 . . .."
Now look very very closely at what F5 actually means just below that text lol!

Maybe it's been replaced by the Human Rights Act?
But I don't really know. The whole thing smells of elephant shit
What I do know, human trafficking has gone through the roof, which is another form of slavery.
Like these chinese immigrants being shipped over by Turkish gangs, East European babes snatched from there villages and being prostituted all over the shop. etc. etc. etc.
There's so much filth on this planet, if I was God I would have turned my back on humanity along time ago.

Actually, if you look at both the title of the Acts and the contents, it appears it was only the Slave Trade that was abolished, not Slavery itself.
3. Visitation and seizure by cruisers, &c. of suspected slave ships.
Where a vessel is, on reasonable grounds, suspected of being engaged in or fitted out for the slave trade, it shall F5 . . . be lawful—
(a)
If the vessel is a British vessel, or is engaged in the slave trade within British jurisdiction, or is not a vessel of a foreign state, for any commander or officer of any of Her Majesty’s ships, for any officer bearing Her Majesty’s commission in the army or navy, for any officer of Her Majesty’s customs in the United Kingdom, [F6 or Channel Islands, for any member of the Isle of Man Constabulary,], for the governor of a [F7 colony], or any person authorised by any such governor, F8 . . .
(b)

to visit and seize and detain such vessel, and to seize and detain any person found detained or reasonably suspected of having been detained as a slave, for the purpose of the slave trade, on board any such vessel, and to carry away such vessel and person, together with the master and all persons, goods, and effects on board any such vessel, for the purpose of bringing in such vessel, person, goods, and effects F5 . . ..
To "bring" an action or suit has a settled customary meaning at law, and refers to the initiation of legal proceedings in a suit. A suit is "brought" at the time it is commenced.
BRINGING MONEY INTO COURT. The act of depositing money in the custody of the court or of its clerk or marshal, for the purpose of satisfying a debt or duty, or to await the result of an interpleader.
Black's Law Dictionary, 2nd Edition, page 153
Incidentally, it would appear that the original words "repealed" were referring to bringing in to "adjudicate."
This would suggest that those who were deemed slaves, were seized and brought in before the court, to "settle" judicially. The word settle does not necessitate freedom; it more often than not, refers to debt.

Does the part (a.) describe military conscripts? I am unfamiliar with part (b.) it seems they want to exclude through maritime admiralty law the prosecution of foreign vessels dropping off or picking up prisoners and the aforementioned souls /slaves as laid down under part (b.). What does the other two acts say as far as debtors prisons and (a)wards of the State?

Amen to that. This planet will just get worse as more laws that degrade humanity will be passed and accepted as norm.
Those who believe in God should rejoice as there is something much better after we die.

Yeah like everything in life mofo's blame the Source for everything that has gone wrong with mankind.
When in reality it's not God who has fucked up, it's humans. Typical humans blaming others for there self inflicted misery and then looking for an easy way out once they've caused the shit in the first place. Now that is what's fucked up.

Absolutely agree with you. People refuse to take responsibility for their own short comings, instead of standing up to the evil they rather blame God.
