Hey, I recorded this because I thought it sounded beautiful. Give it a listen and relax. Hopefully this will help the trolls relax a bit!

PS: Don't cry! My mother always cries when I play it, ruins the mood altogether!

I clicked on you're jam links, it said media file had been removed on one, then I clicked another link and it wanted me to run an active X add on for windows media  ( I don't trust a site that says that) I wan't to hear you're original music not covers. Don't take offence, lot's of people can play covers Clapton ect is a good way to learn guitar techniques :) but can't you upload some original stuff to myspace or some user friendly site. So I can get an idea of what you're capable of?
Read my sig lol

Yeah my files seem to have deleted themselves. What the fuck? Anyways, my bad is going through some turbulent times and I might be leaving. I'll see if I can dig up our jam song.

That's working for me. That's one of our songs, it's more of a random jam.

Hey soglad, great work mate, I love cavatina.
You playing steel strings there? I like the tone of them.
Also, are you playing this all at once, not two or three tracks mixed together?
Not running your work, I just know how hard it is to play this solo, live!
Hard work to learn that.
It's great listening to it in my garden (got it on loop) with the sun shining on my face, buzzing from some top green:rolleyes:
Thanks soglad!

Excellent! I'm playing it on my electric Fender Strat. And that's one take, no mixing. Hence the odd mistake here and there.

Yeah, I'm trying real hard to try and get a decent recording setup at home to write some of my own stuff, but I'll have to use a drum loop machine, since I've no way to record my kit.....would sound shitty except acoustic stuff. I'll keep yous posted :P

wow, that shit is from yer heart even if its not your song.
sound is pretty great for streaming it.
i've been wanting to play guitar for ages now.
years.
every time i pick one up though. i can never seem to grasp the concept of anything that has to do with playing chords right.
you think 19/20 is too late to start? because i can imagine the release you get from playing, and i want that. ha.
love always brother.
oh and yeah. im 6ft 3inches. dun know how much that is in metric.

It's never too late to learn anything to be honest, although I will say that to be a very good guitarist you'd have to be playing since a young lad. You learn better when your brain is young, but if you apply yourself you can learn to your hearts content. Buy a cheap acoustic and learn the chords. Meditate and confirm to yourself that you'll easily learn guitar and play it great. You'll be flying :D
Although, don't expect to play Cavatina too soon! She's a bastard to play.

Cavatina is not a bastard to play at all. Its easy.
Its only the mind that makes it so. If you think its hard it will be.
Sit down with the john williams version and play through fluently. By fluently, I mean regardless of tempo, keep a steady rhythmn without mistakes. Mind boggling slow is a million times better if its correct notes.
Remember your brain is doing a co-ordination exercise/learning procedure, strength is not a factor, if your forcing or straining then your doing something wrong so check your body and arm position, ensuring the palm is away from the back of the neck(only the thumb) on stretches. When learnt slow, its then easier to play much faster.
I've taught total beginners to play Cavatina dozens of times. There are no special techniques to learn either.
Now flamenco is more a challenge because of the many right and left hand techniques thats necessary.
