A chilling picture of the UK after a nuclear attack has been unveiled

The Cold War document drawn up by the Government more than 40 years ago sets out in immense detail how Britain would have been administered in the event of a nuclear exchange.

The book has been obtained by historian Peter Hennessy, who said it showed how civil servants "peered into the abyss" as they contemplated what would need to be done if nuclear war became a reality.

Prof Hennessy, professor of contemporary history at Queen Mary University of London, told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "The surprise really is the width and magnitude of it - 16 chapters to get the nation from a peacetime footing to a total war footing. It is a remarkable enterprise.

"It was done by people who had to do it. It must have been one of the most terrible jobs in Whitehall during the Cold War. It literally was requiring people in immense security to peer into the abyss."

Prof Hennessy said the War Book spelt out in detail plans which were hidden behind coded references in previously-released material.

The book sets out scenarios in which an exchange of nuclear weapons might take place, with mock daily briefings from the Joint Intelligence Committee and bulletins from civil defence officials in the Home Office.

Each day, a mock cabinet of civil servants would meet to decide what elements of the emergency plans should be implemented.

Prof Hennessy said: "They had to take very significant decisions, including alerting the civil servants who wouldn't know at that point that they were earmarked either for the central Government bunker under the Cotswolds at Corsham or for the 12 regional bunkers.

"The country was going to be split into 12 mini-kingdoms after the bomb had dropped, with real draconian powers for a Cabinet minister, a senior military figure, a policeman and a judge."

Very, very Common Purpose.
Look at the rezoning of councils and the new regions being developed.
All under the guise of Common Purpose and all "mini Kingdoms", as per this book.

It's already happening before our very eyes.

This isn't "news!" I got arrested back in 1963 for distributing leaflets about RSG6, the Regional Seat of Government in a bunker at Wargrave near Reading.

During the Aldermaston to London anti-bomb Easter march, one group broke away and entered RSG6 which hadn't been locked for some obscure reason.

I can't remember where all the others were but one was under Dover Castle. The best part about it, which shows what cunts the government of the day were, the elite were going to be warned of a nuclear attack by phone and would receive train tickets to get to their respective RSG's. It would have been fun to watch them waiting on the platform while the bombs were going off.

I did a search yesterday for prophecy's about England. It did not look good... like total karmic wipeout. I think the EU will turn on our country and seriously subdue/destroy us. The english people are slated for destruction unless we get ourselves out the trap.

This has been in force for the last 12 years,it's been kept quiet, once the lisbon treaty is ratified all will be revealed to an unsuspecting public.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1194888/Prepare-nuclear-war-How-Britain-divided-12-police-states-dealt-doomsday.html

Britain would have been split into 12 police states, each run by a Cabinet minister, if the Cold War had led to nuclear conflict, it emerged yesterday.

A tiny elite would have relocated into underground bunkers so government could continue safe from attack.

All 'subversives' would be rounded up and the BBC censored to make way for state propaganda.
