View Full Version : Do I really HAVE to file and pay my taxes?

It's been about 10 years since I filed my taxes. I used to get money back, the year I had to pay them, I completely stopped filing. I would guess they believe I 'owe' them about 50K. They send me letters all the time, which I never even open. What's the point? Their threats are irrelevant, I'm not paying, ever!

Seriously, what are they gonna do? Throw me in jail? Is there a statue of limitations?

P.S. I live in Kanada

I got $450 in taxes I shouldn't have in 2007 and never paid again. Fuck them they aren't seeing another dime from me or getting their money back. I got a few letters asking for payment. Nothing in the past 6 months I usually just toss it in the trash.:D Im in canada I would assume its the same in most countries/corporations/fictional entities.

Is it unlawful to provide them with a "new" address where you live

Awesome hank_scorpio, well done!

They lop 50% off my cheque...then they want more??!! Fuck you! The best was having a contract job, I incorporated myself. This way, you don't pay taxes up front...and I charged the company GST as well. I made about 200K in two years and never paid one thin dime to those pricks...and I never intend to!

50%? Seriously?

Yup...Canada is one of the most taxed corps on the planet...due to our so called "free" crap health care system....BTW don't get cancer in the land of the maple leaf.....unless you have a bowling ball sized tumour protruding from your scalp...it takes minimum 3-6 months for a catscan or MRI for the average "citizen"....if your a "celebrity" or hockey player they'll book you in afterhours on the day needed....

Greetings, gripit. The short answer is that NO, the freeman-on-the-land does not HAVE to adhere to ANY statute or act whatsoever as he exists beyond the bounds of the government's jurisdiction. Statutes and Acts apply to PERSONS which are a legal fiction. They don't apply to living, breathing spirits within bodies.

you might want to look into a Notice of Understanding and Intent and Claim of Right and what it signifies. Perhaps start with Rob Menard's website:

www.thinkfree.ca

He's in Kanada too and he does not pay taxes or perform any other such acts of servitude. Happy researching to you! You have lots of reading ahead.

Thanks very much bsmurph83. I recently started reading about the freeman-on-the-land and have checked out "Rob's very cunning plan". Brilliant stuff!

Now that's hilarious.....hahahahahaaaaa.....you morons! :)

Revenue Canada actually sent a guy to drop off an envelope at my door a couple weeks ago  I didn't answer the door or open the envelope, he just dropped it at my doorstep, so technically, I didn't 'receive' whateverthehell threat it was, lol :)
