When I was a child, I picked up a friend's pet hamster and it pooped in my hand. I think it was nervous.
i used to have a hamster called Mutha Fucker. he ran off one night never to return....

If you are going to have a rodent as a pet, I recommend a rat. They are awesome pets, smart, loyal, playful.. Exactly the opposite of the image they get on t.v.;)

oh yes! i HAD A RAT CALLED WILLIAM! caps* and he was cleaver and loving... quite a companion for a short time in my life. he only lived for about 9 months though.

ferrets are better, you can house train em they will bite cats, and over curious dogs and will catch you your tea:)

no, ferrets arnt as loving and faithful as rats... i know it sounds nuts... but rats are a bit like dogs.

I got beaked once by a parrot that a friend told never bit anyone. Dogs, cats, cows and horses like me, though.

I had a gerbil (my thread got merged :D just kidding) last April, called Si Yue (Chinese for 'April'). She dies after seventeen days. :(

Ive got a lovely little hamster called Sweetie. I couldn't have a rat, I can't stand their tails. If one ran over me I'd crawl the ceiling. :eek:

I know of a few people who don't like rats, they say the tail freaks them out too :confused:
Me and my GF came out of a friends hosue one night and rat ran right past her feet :eek: :eek: (she nearly stood on it) she would have hit the roof but she was outside she tryed to run back into the stair but i had just closed the door! :D :D
My friends granson, who's 5 had a hamster called george, but unfortunatly it died after just a few days, and they buried in the back garden.
The pet shop he got it from said if it died in the first week they could go back and get a replacemnt.
So my friend went back to the pet shop and explained what happened, he was then expected to go home and dig up the dead hamster take it back and get his replacement!
He said my granson is very upset about it all! and you want me to dig it back up and bring the body here!
I'l tell you what i'l pay for a new one,then the pet shop person said were sorry just take a replacement one, but they are only females left.
My friend said it's okay, it wont breed cos that's the only one we'll be having.
So the little boy got a new hamster and called it george, even though it's s wee female, and we've all to pretend it's a male! lol,lol,lol Kid's :D
