First of all, eating poop, is not only something corgis do. As far as I am aware of, lots of dogs eat poop! I do! I eat the bird poop! Not sure what is worse as humans might say, or better tasting as I would be concerned for….bird poop or dog poop, or cat poop or sheep poop….???
Here are some reasons dogs eat poop!

1…..it taste good….the fact we would not think so, means nothing to the dog!

2…..poop has some undigested nutrients and eating poop, will allow him to get more nutrients.
3…..some do it to pass the time….excuse the pun!
4…..sometimes it is due to stress in a dog, and they end up doing weird things….eating poop is weird!
5…..dog might have worms or parasites and is always hungry and eating poop is eating!
6…..if done in a crate, it can be due to ‘housecleaning.’
7…..mother dogs eat their puppies poop to hide to predators, puppies are near, to protect their pups.
8…..they might be doing it for attention getting, even if it is negative attention.
9…..picking up poop with a bag, is no different to a dog than picking up his poop, via, eating it, which is called, allelonimetic behavior)
10. some dog foods are not easily absorbed or digested, so it comes out as poop, and your dog eating his poop, is really no different than him eating his own dog food!

Hmmm....I'll have to go for dog as much as I like cats but the dogs go outside whereas kitty uses the litter box in the house. All one has to do is go round the yard once a week with a shovel and sling the dog poo into the ditch or put it in a trash bag and be done with it.

With kitty the box must be emptied and bleached daily and still you can't rid the house of the odor - or I have a sensitive nose.
