Now I have diagnosed myself with anxiety and depression and am going to see a state funded therapist here in a few days. I'm probably going to be prescribed some type of pill for a crutch until they do their cognitive therapy etc..
What I was wondering is..what is this forums take on mainstream medication for a temporary crutch as opposed to alternative medication. And I would like a list or links to these alternative medications and reports of experiences with people who have suffered from these dysfunctions and have tried both types of medication (That being mainstream vs alternatives).
