Yesterday I met with another forum member in town for a cool glass of lemonaid, hand over some mms and to meet his wife for a nice chat at a bar in town. While i was waiting for them to turn up a gypsy lady walked up to where I was sitting and said to me that money was not my problem meaning that I didn’t worry about money issues,(there is no money so what’s to worry about lol) but my health and happiness is something to be concerned about. You’re a pretty girl she said but make sure you look after your health and protect your happiness.

She then opened her hand to reveal four glass decorative stones (you know the sort that you can put in bowls? Those white blue and purple coloured glass oval type?) I have some at home they cost me a pound for a bag of them lol. She asked me for a pound for one of the stones…I kindly declined her offer. I was so tempted to say to her ..i tell you what, you keep the glass stones you give me a pound and I’ll tell you what is really going on lol it would have been an ideal day as the chemtrail planes were busy over head but I decided to keep shtum and she moved on to a lady sat behind me who wanted her to read her palm.

I sat there for a brief moment and thought wow there must be so many beings that would take her comments so seriously where they would let what she said fester in their minds especially if they had refused to give her the pound coin. Kinda like a gypsy curse.

Then I remembered something that happened a few years back.
I use to work on a night club door, usually on a Sunday I worked with a guy called Ben. Ben and his girlfriend had lost a baby two years previously (stillborn) which had affected them deeply as you can imagine something like that would do. They had been trying ever since for a new baby without success. He never mentioned it to me or anyone else in the door team but one Sunday night we were chatting away messing about on the door as you do when it’s pretty quiet when two old time gypsy boys turned up.

They must have been in their late 50s with real weathered faces..they looked like they had seen the world and more some but they were polite well mannered and laid their cards on the table by saying look were gypsy’s we mean no trouble, we just want a couple of beers we’ll go and sit over in a corner and mind our own business..is that ok with you two? Well how can you refuse a couple of old boy’s entry when they were so friendly and polite so in they went.

It was a quite night with hardly anyone in but we took turns doing the rounds inside and they lift their drinks every time we past them. By the end of the night everyone left except these two fellas. so we walked up to them and just as we were about to say to them times up chaps one of them asked what bens name was, he answered them and we had a bit of a laugh with them for five then the other one said to ben “I tell you what ben, just tell us to drink up and we’ll be on our way. Ben replied come on then chaps time to drink up, I have a missus to get back home to.

Well they drank up, stood up and turned to ben and said you’ve had some trouble there son with your baby…your gonna be alright there son patting him on the shoulder and they left.

Ben’s face changed, he lost all the colour in his face and looked like he’d seen a ghost. I asked him what’s up with you? And he told me about loosing his baby and that him and his girlfriend had been trying ever since for another baby.

Well about a month later his girlfriend became pregnant and they now have a little boy must be about 10 years old now and he firmly believes that because we were nice to those two gypsy’s they gave him a blessing as a thank you.

What do you think?

Do you think some of them have the power to curse or to bless?
Or do you think its all a trick by placing suggestion in the minds of those that tend to worry about such things as health wealth and happiness?

Maybe they do maybe they don't.

Just don't refuse them an extension on a loan.:D

I think the moral of the story is to be kind to any stranger you meet on this journey called life.
The stranger could be a devil or an angel or even the Big Boss himself.

You just never know.:)

that's a good way of looking at life jammaster. i'm undecided on the subject. when she came up to me yesterday and showed those glass stones i just thought your a cheeky bugger lol especially when she said money was not my problem..i know i need my roots doing and i never wear fancy designer labels or bling..she probably cold read me and thought i looked a tramp lol

but what happened to ben made me wonder a little.
nice little earner too playing on peoples fears for a pound hey. the lady behind me gave her a pound for the palm reading so there must be many each day giving away pounds in the hope that a spells are not placed on them.

I think because western society in general is so cynical and cut off from human emotion, that not many people empathise with anothers sufferings.

The poor old lady had probably been knocked back so many times and probably had abuse thrown at her, that she either got tired from cursing folk or decided to change her marketing strategy.

The gypsy woman could have been poor as shit so anybody who was fully clothed or had food to eat or money in their pocket is gonna seem rich to her.
Either way a pound is not gonna kill you.

Personally speaking I was wondering what I would do if I had no money, or didn't have a pot to piss in. Would I have the balls to do what the gypsy woman did? I hope I'm not around long enough to find out.

That woman understood the maxim 'you have to give to receive'.
Life is the best teacher in my opinion, you don't have to wait to be taught, it starts from the day you were born. You either accept Life as your guru willingly or you just accept Life is gonna take that role anyway.

this is prolly really lame in comparison to the above story, but it fits in sort of.
I was at the bus stop in the cold , one winter. a scary looking chap came and asked me for a dollar. there was nobody else around, so i was apprehensive about reaching into my bag to get to my purse.

well, we got chatting and he said how cold it was and asked how my home was. i said the heater is broken ( it still is) and he was sympathetic, and said he had no heater either. Then, after a chat, he asked for his dollar he wanted...!:D

... by that time, the bus was coming and people were around at this lonely scary bus-stop, so I gave him a $2 coin as i got on the bus. He said, bless you lady, and i said bless you back to him.

who knows, i could of been entertaining angels unaware, as the saying goes.

Gypsies prolly only have power if you think they do.

i agree there, they get a lot of abuse especially in this country. however many make such a bloody mess when they leave often leaving human faeces burnt out cars after they have been stripped bare of course plus many other destructive things like up rooted trees etc. if it wasnt for that kind of behaviour i'd admire the gypsy way of life. answering to know one part from the big piky bosses. they go where they like do what they like and sticking together (most of the time)

i've never known of a poor gypsy ..they don't pay tax you know lol some are better off than others i admit but they always seem to land on their feet. i know i cannot afford a Mercedes or bmw a brand new transit or large caravan which the majority all appear to own. i once saw a bare knuckle fight between gypsies ..i've never seen so much paper money exchanging hands.

i did not have a bean on me at the time if i did maybe i would have given her the pound then again just because someone pays you a compliment or gives you a piece of advice it does not mean you have to pay for it

We've all heard the Shakespearian quote "The world is a stage and we're all actors upon it.".

This gets weird and exciting when you get to play the part of an angel! Believe me when I tell you that you may be asked to play that part one day in your life!

It would be nice to meet with some other free thinkers. Where I live is probabley one of the most hive minded places in the UK. I nearly got lynched in Tescos for not standing to attention on remembrance day.

Gyspsy's have always fascinated me and scared me. They scare me becasue of the mystery that surrounds them and the way they have been portrayed in the main stream media.

I not long though after reading the thread and my possible reply that imagine what knowledge they could possess. They fall similar to the high secret society's as in they are a close net family with alot of tradition and tales. They have not been massively brain washed by the 21st century life and school. So none of the teachings would be in question or misrepresented or told to anyone who was not ready or in with them. Who knows what knowledge they keep to themselves that has been passed down from generation to generation? .... fascinating... but scary to me. I would like to do more research but am weary and partly scared. So unfortunately i will keep an open mind and go ignorant until i am ready

I love the word Gypsy because i would always use it in hang man! WHAHAHA no vowels.
