I had a nice bit of synchronicity the other day, reading the mighty yozhik's link to an article on 'standing on the land', an article in the Independant and from personally being homeless and living in a tent for the last year

this without doubt, I believe, is the ultimate Freeman route for escaping their matrix, and would attract people in their thousands when they see a workable community - the carrot works much better than the stick, pointing out how corrupt and predatory the system is, is useless unless we provide a workable alternative that people will naturally gravitate towards

and who wouldn't gravitate towards this..

it's ironic, that this is the dream most people working within teh technocratic system work towards in their retirement anyway (when they still had a pension that is)

who needs the latest itunes gizmo doodar crapolla, when you have the dawn chorus every morning

you hav e that dream because you've reclaimed your humanity bones, it's the best dream to have

ha ha, the thing is we can still have technology, we can have the cake and eat it - run it off solar panels, geo thermal etc (I bought a power monkey portable solar panel for my laptop)

yep, but I'm sure she only needs the tv and interweb to get the sense of community she feels she lacks in modern living ?

I think in time with living a life in a community of like minded souls those that feel they need TV and the interweb would probably realise soon enough that they sought those things to get a sense of community which they felt they lacked .. i'm sure they'll give up the toys and the distractions to sit round a fire late evening with a bunch of Freemen on this board telling tales and talking crop rotation techniques, I know I would

learn to hack and make it a day trip to get new music and films to the nearest town/city or learn to hack a satalite its v hard to do tho.just because your breaking away from the system doesnt mean you have to give up your luxuries ok somethings yes.a plasma screen tv would probably be quite hard to keep powered with a freezer fridge microwave ect lol but theres alternatives to it.use lower powered things get a decent battery bank and a decent charging system and you can have your luxuries.:)
