Environment Secretary David Miliband told the House of Commons there were no reports of flood defences failing but said the government would "consider lessons learned". Sounds familiar. Sounds like same general reaction the U.S. government gave to Katrina inicially.

For those on this forum who reside in England care to post your thoughts on this subject?

Im shocked by this news. I knew rains but I really had to idea to what level this has come to. I stumbled on it by chance. Heres the link I came across;

Im not familiar with the thing on rackateers. Im pleased the situation not as bad as what I saw depicted. Still from what I read on it it reminded me of katrina. I would not be surprised in the least to find people who went through that tragedy awakened and or in the process due to their first hand look at military lockdown on one's front door in the literal sense. So anyone from those parts of the south have anything to say would be of interest to me. Thanks
