Ok...so I have heard all the ideas about how we were all one consciousness that decided to break itself off into little sparks which animate the whole of creation. I have heard how this consciousness wanted to do this just for the experience. I have come up with various ideas of my own, as to why suffering exists, if we were all one consciousness in the beginning. And when you have an empathy with all creatures and realize the amount of suffering that is being inflicted on them- not just on other humans- then indeed, one can feel quite overwhelmed.

Why would all this be happening...if it really is only an illusion, as people say?

Then one day I realized that the idea that we are all children of a consciousness, a source somewhere.....is just as valid and makes just as much sense as the idea that we are that source.

So I just like to keep an open mind. ;)

Well from what i was reading the other night in one of Ickes books.. the all knowing wonderful 'infinite consciousness' that is everything 'forgot itself'... thats how the 'illusion' of suffering started.

I've heard that. And maybe. Who knows? :)
