i think the sphinx was a representation of the constellation leo, as in 10,000 bc, when the sphinx may have been built, it lined up the the pyramids/which are in the pattern of the orion constellation.

i think michael tsarion, graham hancock and wayne herschel have the right ideas about egypt, eg it is a remnant/colony of our ancient empires eg atlantis/lemuria eg empires that existed prior to the biblical flood/noah, ancient war and global catasophre.

atlantis/lemuria - ancient war/great flood/noah - then egypt/sumeria/mayans/aztecs - biblical history - today.

as the bible is full of egypt, eg the moses/exodus.

I think it was a lion originally, though a Jackal is possible.

If the twin sphinx theory is correct it corroborates the notion of lions in symbolism being guardians of knowledge.

You certainly see sphinxes astride obelisks in Rosicrucian structures like obelisks.

Below you see the Tibetan flag.

You have two lions before a pyramid which seems to be casting off beams of light.

Look at those pine cone things they're holding.

I think I read something about a secret being discovered beneath the paw of the sphinx or whatever...

the lion represents the guardian of knowledge and wisdom under the right paw

Under the right paw of the Sphinx is a chamber where are many scrolls and books saved from the Alexandria Library, and many more things:)

Was it Tsarion who said that it's a woman's face on the sphinx?

I don't think anyone looked at the info(?)

If you look at the proportions of the sphinx, the head is well out of proportion.
A jackal's head would have fitted perfectly; Anubis.
Also the body apparently is wrong for a lion.
The head was destroyed at some point with new rulership, etc.
They later realized that they had to do something with this giant structure and carved this new tiny head out of what was remaining.

I must admit, I prefer the idea that of the sphinx being a lion because I've grown used to the idea. But facts speak for themselves.

The jackal was their god of the underworld; this structure was very important to them regarding funeral ceremonies and other.

Wierd. I could swear i just watched a film about lions guarding wisdom in a wee ball under their paw just like the above pic. The 2nd lion was holding something too though.

Maybe i just read it on here and dreamt it though.

Fascinating stuff.

I thought the Sphynx was built by the "Yakaboolons" and was actually an aadvark ,

lol

Yet it wouldnt surprise me as some scientists knew that it didnt have the face of a human . Some think it was a lioness , but hay , it could have been anything and their theory is just as valid as any other but does seem to hold more wieght .

thanks for the heads up .

I was gonna mention Robert Temple's Sirius Mystery again, but I'm not gonna since the other book is his as well.

Based on these pics, I'd say it looks more like a lion than a doggy. Look at the hind legs. And my research was very thorough, of course.

It was A LION FOR GOD SAKE WHO IS SPROUTING HORSE SHITE NOW.

The sphinx was alligned to the constelation of leo.... Leo represents the lion. If you look at his toes and keep off the bullshit story, you would know they are not jackel feet.

Some people cant hold back the elephant shit can they.

I read that book last year, it was fun. He was considered a top notch loony when he wrote it back in '73...and still is I guess! :)
