Can a persons aura be captured in a photograph and if so, why is a digital image less affective than film?
I ask because I've been asked to provide a picture of myself, wearing next to nothing.. ;) :p... and I'm not keen but do want to take part in the activity it's a check for :( Any thoughts?

Someone's having you on. Or you're on the edge of some culty people who don't have a clue.

Anyone's who genuinely psychic can read your aura at a distance.

Anyone who needs a photo can do it from any photo.

Anyone who wants a naked or near naked photo is probably a pervert who doesn't have what it takes to ask for one honestly.

you can see aura's on photo's, tho those twenty quid ones at mind body spirit type fairs are in my mind a bit of a con.

dude if you feel dodgy about gettin your kit off, leave your kit on, an aura doesn't need you to be naked for it to be seen, wear nutral colours, light pastel shades if poss - though black or white clothing works really well, so long as you wera all the one colour. Try not to go for yellows or pinks tho :D

pmsl no Darryl!

Hmm well I've told them I'm not getting my kit off and although yellow and pink are my fav colours :rolleyes: :p I'm told 'No more clothing other than underwear' to make sure it's clear.. (obviously not open minded enough :o:mad:) not impressed.

It's a large yoga school so cult behaviour can be expected, I want to take part in the spiral meditation but because of the energies involved their saying they want to make sure we're all.. I don't know safe, to take part? 'for your own good'.

I've thought about the pervert aspect but there's thousands of people in the school so I'm pretty sure it's more like health and safety clamp down like with any large company but it's basically black and white, do it or don't. :(

Should I bite my lip (It's only a little flesh) or wear my bottom lip and not go?

well, i'd ask why they are being so pointed, and say that it is an infringement of your right. You'd think they would be into the whole equality thing and let each person decide.

i've been to a few sweat lodges where they say you have to be naked, and a few where they say you have to wear trunks - always the best ones are where there is a freedom of choice.

i personally would say if i'm not allowed a choice then no, throw out the bottom lip and swan off to the pub

but then again it might be a very liberating experience....

You may want to read this. (http://forum.rickross.com/read.php?12,47136)

The Rick Ross site is always a useful resource for people who want to check how legit an organisation is.

Real yoga schools don't do bullshit like this. One of my friends is a yoga teacher, and it would literally never cross her mind.

I've thought about a chance for a liberating experience but I could just as easily do that down the pub right?! ;) :p

Asha, thanks. Yes I am aware of that and I've done a lot of reading on it. Legit or not, there's certainly been a lot of complaints on various forums etc

My particular instructor and obviously the yoga practice itself is fantastic, I've had incredible experiences and no concerns with my class at all but when it comes to the school at large there are a number of issues but like anything... take from it what you will! :)

Eek appreciate the advice, tbh principle alone should be enough to sway the vote.

I'm not sure about any clothing requirement in aura photography. Though PIP photography is usually done naked and I don't recall any problems with that. Things like manograms are even more "invasive" than posing in your underwear, though there seems little suspiscion about them. Probably as they're done by a large trusted organisation. It's all really up to to. How important is the reading? Plus how uncomfortable are you with having the photo taken? Is it really going to benefit you? I myself would probably have no problem with it. It's your choice and the organisation should respect that.

Well this is the thing, I don't believe it would benefit me... other than it being important enough to mean I can take part in the spiral meditation but I also think they're asking to much to expect everyone to just do what they ask for the sake of not passing out or something. I took part last year and it was quite powerful but at the same time not enough to cause any damage... IMO. I'm not overly comfortable with doing the pictures but at the same time I'm not sure why I'm so bothered, no real harm in it. BUT no. :)

...I like the clarity of your colours...that pink has got me thinking, you're in love with something/somebody...that's very high emotions...tell you a little trick, think of something so beautiful, that you nearly cry, just as they're about to take the next shot...bet,there's alot of pink, green and blue.Going by your colours, you'd be a lot of fun to know, take care...and thankyou for the Pic,
