Have spotted this topic from another site, as this song all about mind control:

Here's the lyrics:

"The Sounds of Silence"

Hello darkness, my old friend

,
Ive come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence.
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone,
neath the halo of a street lamp,
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence.

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more.
People talking without speaking,
People hearing without listening,
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dare
Disturb the sound of silence.

Fools said i, you do not know
Silence like a cancer grows.
Hear my words that I might teach you,
Take my arms that I might reach you.
But my words like silent raindrops fell,
And echoed
In the wells of silence

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon God they made.
And the sign flashed out its warning,
In the words that it was forming.
And the sign said, the words of the prophets

Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls.
And whisperd in the sounds of silence.

What's with the diversion?????????????????????????????

making you not look so crazy, with someone actually replying...and since I hate this duo, with passion,I'm not likely to be mind-controlled by it,or at least
...at the mercy of the subliminals...but do carry on...:D

Great song by a duo who have their own wonderful unique sound.

I'm not sure what the original poster's intent was in posting this in here (I assume they think it's planned social subliminal programming? I guess one would have to dig up any connection Simon and Garfunkel had to that). I see it as a social commentary about how city life and modern times have made us into a bunch of silent people wandering about but never speaking out.

Now,that's a beautiful interpretation,almost feel guilty for trashing them...bit
like an American version of Eleanor Rigby, very nicely written.regards.

Silence is Golden ;) and hard to find nowadays - it is wonderful when you find some - so what is the problem
