Thought this might be of interest to those who find the "registration" of "vehicles" a topic worthy of debate;

I advised the DVLA that the vehicle in question had been in the UK for 3 year. Their response was "the law states that they must register the car in the UK", so I asked them what could be done and their reply was, "If they don't register the vehicle then there is nothing the DVLA can do".

WHAT? I'd advised the owner that it was the law that they should register. DVLA's response was "well if its not registered it's nothing to do with us, contact the police".

yeah i saw this in december. however, even if you manage to successfully de-register your car by exporting it, then chances are they may still come after you for not registering after 6 months and paying the tax on it. only way to find out is for someone to go ahead and try it out, cos they take no notice of common law claim of right, estoppels etc.

they're funny about getting their tax revenue for some strange reason :rolleyes:

I have a suspicsion it may have something to do with copyright on engines/car designs.

If these designs are only leased to corporations because of copyright then there may be clauses attached to said contracts, behind closed doors as such.

There is either something hidden that we have yet to find or it's just because we're in the lions den and they will do what they want regardless!

The problen is people think others are allowed to govern them without their consent, such as the police and will do anything when told to do so, even if it is against what is right and just!

They are using ignorant fools to pull their agenda off.

They have turned their backs to the truth and what is right and they have abandoned the rule of Law.

Authority is no longer derived from the truth, but truth derived from authority.

This is wrong!

I've not done this, although I have in the past legally used an unregistered vehicle with no vehicle excise duty on the public highway. You could try exporting it from the UK to your local piece of urban common land. Then you're controlling rather than driving.

ok spoke to a friend in the motor trade about this he said that if your car goes out of the country for 3 weeks in 12months and can prove it,then that is case enough to use the excuse of it being an exported vehicle.
he said if you class it as scrapped then the police will come down harder because its falsifying official documents.
the best lawful and honorable way out is as far as i can see is put a notice in the london gazatte its official and usable in court.
