Subject: 'Worse than the gas chambers' - in Britain - NOW!
Date: Sun, 22 Jul 2007 20:26:37 +0100
From Norman Scarth, Founder & Leader of the AntiCrimeParty (registered with the Electoral Commission), candidate at the Sedgefield By-Election. It was I who stood in Chesterfield in 1997 as an Independent Old Age Pensioner, causing Tony Benn to resign rather than stand in 2001, paving the way for the LibDem success there. I am grieved that there has never been a word of thanks from your party. However, that is past; now to the future.
Dear Mr. Baker;
I am told you are that rare bird, an MP with integrity & conscience. If that is indeed so, you MUST support my action as pasted below. An EDM would not be out of place.
“WORSE THAN THE GAS CHAMBERS” - in ‘Democratic’ Britain – NOW!
Those in the Royal Courts of Justice – of all places – are using every dirty trick to frustrate my efforts to end this diabolical (but well hidden!) practice.
Nobel Laureate Alekzandr Solzhenitsyn said “To put a sane person in a madhouse (his word) is worse than the gas chambers, the torture is more prolonged, death takes longer”. World famous Soviet dissident Vladimir Bukovsky (who escaped to Britain) said much the same.
The book ‘RUSSIAN POLITICAL HOSPITALS’ by Professor Sidney Bloch & Peter Reddaway was published in 1977, during the Cold War. They describe ‘The Abuse of Psychiatry in the Soviet Union’. In the Epilogue they wrote, “If such practices are not resisted, they may become irretrievably entrenched &, at the same time, spread gradually to other countries. For they have obvious potential appeal not only to repressive regimes of left & right, but also to authoritarian groups in what are still relatively free societies”. (Emphasis by NS).
"The condition on which God hath given Liberty to man is that of eternal vigilance", said John Philpott Curran (1750-1817).
Liberty is not necessarily taken from us by jack-booted Storm Troopers. It can be insidious, as predicted by Bloch & Reddaway. HOW RIGHT THEY WERE!
There is to be a hearing of my Application (CO/1182/2007) on Friday 27th July 2007 at the Royal Courts of Justice, in the Strand, London. It should not take more than 30 minutes. For the sake of the unfortunate victims, you MUST be there. Fail to attend, & you deserve that you (or yours) will die in the gas chambers – or worse! If you truly cannot attend, please urge everyone you know to do so.
I have asked that it be after 12 noon, but to find the time & court number, telephone the Administrative Court List Office on 020 7947 6297/6304/6513, after 2.30pm on Thursday 26th July, or see http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/cms/list
I repeat: BE THERE! Or - are you happy to live in a Britain becoming even more of a ‘1984’ Police State than it is already?
Being sent to a madhouse was the fate of those 'dissidents' in Stalinist Russia who escaped a bullet in the back of the head. It is happening to dissidents in Britain – NOW - but much better hidden!
There is currently a Bill before Parliament, whereby they will be able to lock up ‘mentally ill’ people who have never committed a crime.
Baronesses Neuberger & Meacher, Lords Adebowale, Bragg & Carlile of Berriew have been opposing the Bill, as a violation of Human Rights (only the gullible think we still have them!)
I wrote to them telling them there is no need for such a Bill. It is already happening UNLAWFULLY & UNCHALLENGED (till now) – to the sane as well as the mentally ill! They did not even have the good grace to acknowledge receipt of my letter, ignoring the SAE I sent for that purpose.
So, a month or so later I sent a little bribe (£10) to each of them. Bragg & Carlile have sent the £10 note back - but not a word of comment about the diabolical practice. The other three have not responded at all, but have kept the £10.
It should hardly need saying, but generally speaking, in Britain the deprivation of a person’s liberty is unlawful without a court hearing, & the Judgment, Sentence or Order of a Court. A Court Order may well be made under some Section of the 1983 Mental Health Act. It is commonly & loosely said that a person has been ‘Sectioned’.
This sloppiness has degenerated into a most serious state of affairs. Psychiatrists, in collusion with the police (&/or others), have got into the habit of unlawfully circumventing the courts (& the law), by simply stating that a person is being held under a ‘Notional Section’.
The dictionary says that ‘NOTIONAL’ means: ‘Speculative; imaginary; unreal; theoretical; hypothetical; estimated; academic; a fanciful impulse; a whim’.
So - people are being detained under an IMAGINARY ‘Section’! Bad enough if those detained under ‘a fanciful impulse, a whim’ are indeed mentally ill, but I have certain knowledge that some are completely sane.
Giving a lecture at University College London in January 2001, Lord Woolf (then Lord Chief Justice) said “We should no longer show excessive deference to doctors, as we have in the past”.
In her Shipman Inquiry Report, Dame Janet Smith identified ‘A Culture of Fear’ in the NHS; junior doctors & nurses afraid to speak up, thus allowing Dr. Harold Shipman to kill many more patients than he had done. Nowhere is that ‘culture of fear (of the all-powerful consultants) more ingrained than in Mental Hospitals. Trite but true ‘All power corrupts … …’.
The horror is compounded by the fact that those solicitors who claim to be ‘Mental Health Specialists’ appear to be brainwashed by the psychiatrists, ‘show excessive deference’ to them, go along with this misuse of the word ‘Notional’, & refuse to seek a writ of Habeas Corpus for the unfortunate victims.
Regrettably, malpractice by psychiatrists is not uncommon. The Times, 31 July 2005, told about Drs. Kerr & Haslam, two psychiatrists in North Yorkshire who sexually abused patients for almost thirty years, & retired with glowing testimonials before being brought to book.
The Independent on Sunday, 7th January 2007, told a story about Bill Collins, a man released from Broadmoor after suffering forcible but unnecessary medication FOR THIRTY SIX YEARS. Yes, he HAD initially committed a crime, which he admitted, regretted, & for which he received a four year sentence. Others, completely sane, have not committed ANY crime.
‘Many a true word is spoken in jest’, & I trust the court will forgive me if I tell them an unfunny but very revealing ‘joke’ which circulates among the lower ranks of staff in our Mental Hospitals. Question: “What is the difference between a psychiatrist & God?” Answer: “God doesn’t think he is a psychiatrist”. Regrettably, the ‘culture of fear’, & resulting failure to challenge malpractice by psychiatrists, means they DO act like Gods, distort the English language, & make their own laws.
I am seeking a declaration that the misuse of the word ‘Notional’ in this context is a nonsense, & that the incarceration of people (whether sane or mentally ill), by misusing that word, (to circumvent the law & the courts), is seriously unlawful.
Explain it, I cannot.
